Description

The invention relates to a rotating flail for crushing materials, in particular for crushing wood waste in composting devices.

From DE-GM 85 l4 526 a composting device for crushing organic waste, in particular wood, is known, which contains a trough-like container that can be placed on a truck, and a conveyor on the bottom of this container, which towards the rear end of the container promotes. The rear end of the container is closed by a striking mechanism. This striking mechanism contains pivoted flails through which the material is broken until the material can pass through an outlet opening.

The invention has for its object to provide a rotating mallet for such and similar purposes, through which a particularly effective size reduction of the material is guaranteed.

In particular, the aim is to ensure the functionality of the flail as long as possible in the event of wear and to allow worn parts to be replaced in the simplest possible way.

According to the invention, the above object is achieved in that a projecting tooth with a cutting edge and an essentially triangular cross section is provided on the flail.

By using a flail with a protruding tooth, the shredding effect of the flail can be significantly improved, since the flail acts on the material to be shredded with a pointed edge.

It has proven particularly advantageous that the rear surface of the tooth in the circumferential direction forms an angle between 60 ° and 65 ° with a plane passing through the circumferential axis and the inner edge of the surface.

It turns out that with such a design of the tooth the wear takes place in such a way that a sharp cutting edge is formed even with a worn tooth. This cutting edge grinds itself during operation of the striking mechanism. It is therefore possible to work with such a protruding tooth for a relatively long time without exchanging parts, even if the tooth is already badly worn.

In a further embodiment of the invention it can be provided that the flail
  • (a) has a base body sitting on a shaft,
  • (b) in which the tooth is held interchangeably

The entire mallet, which is pivotably mounted on a shaft of the striking mechanism, then need not be replaced. Rather, it is sufficient to replace the tooth without removing the base body, which can be done quickly and easily.

It is advantageous if the front surface of the tooth in the circumferential direction has a recess of triangular cross section, which forms a predetermined breaking point.

If the tooth is overloaded e.g. The stone breaks at a precisely defined point due to stones or other hard objects getting into the hammer mechanism. This avoids damage to the shaft and its holder, so that the damaged tooth can be easily replaced.

Ausgestaltungen der Erfindung, die sich auf eine besonders vorteilhafte Art der Halterung des Zahnes in dem Grundkörper beziehen, sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche 5 bis 7.Embodiments of the invention which relate to a particularly advantageous way of holding the tooth in the base body are the subject of dependent claims 5 to 7.

An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawing, which shows a section through a mallet for crushing materials.

A circumferential beater for comminuting materials, in particular for comminuting wood waste in composting devices, has a projecting tooth 10 with a cutting edge 12 and an essentially triangular cross section. The rear surface l4 of the tooth in the circumferential direction forms an angle between 60 ° and 65 ° with a plane l8 passing through the circumferential axis l6 and the inner edge of the surface l4. The mallet has a base body 22 seated on a shaft by means of a bearing bore 20. The tooth 10 is held interchangeably in the base body 22. The front surface 24 of the tooth 10 in the circumferential direction has a recess 26 of triangular cross section, which forms a predetermined breaking point.

Specifically, the tooth 10 has a head piece 28 of basic shape with a triangular cross section and a shaft 30. At its end, the shaft forms a laterally projecting nose 32 with a stop surface 34 extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft 30. The shaft 30 furthermore forms, on the side opposite the nose, on its side surface 36 a projecting strip 38 which is also perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft 30 extending stop surface 40 forms.

The base body 22 has a recess 42, which allows insertion and pivoting of the shaft 30 into the recess 42, such that the nose with its abutment surface 34 comes to rest against a flat inner surface 44 of the recess 42 and the strip 38 into one essentially complementary recess 46 in the wall of the Recess 42 engages. The shaft 30 is screwed to the base body 22 by means of a screw bolt 48.

The recess 42 forms a first flat surface 50 which, starting from the periphery 52 of the base body 22, extends approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft 30 up to the shaft 30. This is followed by a second flat surface 54 parallel to the longitudinal direction of the shaft 30. Said flat inner surface 44 for the abutment of the lug 32 connects to the second flat surface 30 perpendicularly to the outside. This is followed by a third flat surface 56, which again runs essentially parallel to the longitudinal direction of the shaft. Furthermore, the recess 42 is delimited by a convexly curved surface 58 which runs inward obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the shaft 30 and to which a fourth plane surface 60, which is opposite the second plane surface 54, adjoins. The fourth flat surface 60 is connected via a convex connecting surface 62 to a fifth flat surface 64 again running parallel to the longitudinal direction of the shaft 30. Said recess 46 for receiving the bar 38 provided on the shaft 30 is formed in the fifth plane surface 64. The shaft 30 of the tooth 10 is guided laterally with a first and an opposite second side surface 66 and 36 between the said second plane surface 54 and the said fifth plane surface 64. A clamping piece 68 of triangular cross section is inserted into the space formed between the first plane surface 50 and the first side surface 66 of the shaft 30, so that a side surface 70 of the Clamping piece 68 abuts the first flat surface 50 and another side surface 72 of the clamping piece 68 bears on the first side surface 66 of the shaft 30. The screw bolt 48 is supported with a head 74 on the base 76 of a depression in the surface of the base body 22. The screw bolt 48 is screwed through the fifth flat surface 64 and the shaft 30 into a threaded bore 78 of the clamping piece 68, so that the shaft 30 is tightened between the clamping piece and the fifth flat surface 64. In this arrangement, a shear stress on the threaded bolt 48 due to the forces acting on the tooth 10 is largely avoided, since such shear forces are transmitted via the side surface 70 to the first flat surface 50 of the base body 22 and are kept away from the threaded bolt.

The head 74 of the screw bolt is supported by two plate springs 80, 82 on the surface of the base body 22, namely on the base 76 of the recess. This ensures that the bolt 48 cannot loosen due to the effective impacts. Centrifugal forces, which try to pull the tooth l0 outwards during rotation, are absorbed via the stop surfaces 34 and 40.

When tooth l0 wears, it becomes shorter, but always forms a sharp cutting edge. If tooth l0 is overloaded, a break occurs at the predetermined breaking point formed by recess 26. The holding of the tooth 10 in the base body 22 is not affected thereby. Tooth l0 can therefore be easily replaced and replaced with a new wear part. The same applies if the tooth is worn to a certain extent.

To replace such a tooth 10, the base body 22, which sits on a shaft, does not need to be dismantled. It is sufficient to loosen the screw bolt 48 and to pull out the clamping piece 68. The shaft 30 can then be removed due to the shape of the recess 42 described. For this purpose, the tooth l0 is pivoted clockwise with the shaft 30 and pushed a little inwards, so that both the nose 32 and the strip 38 are released from the flat inner surface 44 or the recess 46 and the shaft can be pulled out. In the reverse sequence, a new tooth 10 with a shaft 30 is inserted, the clamping piece 68 is inserted again and tightened by means of the screw bolt 48.
