Definitions
- the invention relates to a classifier according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a classifier of the type required in the preamble of claim 1 is known for example from EP-A-23 320.
- the upper end face of the rotor is provided with an annular spreading plate, which encloses a central opening serving to extract the air stream laden with fine material.
- the visible material is fed to this spreading plate through a number of good pipes, which are arranged on the top of the classifier housing around the central connecting piece which serves to discharge the visual air. From the edge of the spreader plate, the material is deflected radially outward in the downward direction so that it falls into the space between the stationary diffuser and the rotor.
- a major disadvantage of this known classifier is the poor distribution of the crop by the spreading disc. If the material to be sighted is not scattered completely uniformly over the entire circumference, this affects the selectivity of the classifier.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of forming a classifier of the type required in the preamble of claim 1 such that, with a simple structural design, an absolutely uniform distribution of the material to be sighted is achieved over the entire scope of the viewing area.
- the inventive design of the spreading plate achieves a completely uniform spreading of the material to be sifted into the viewing area.
- the material flowing outwards on the spreader plate is fed through the guide elements in a completely jam-free manner and deflected via the guide elements in such a way that it is directed downward into the viewing area without any disruptive material agglomeration through the openings.
- the arrangement of the guide elements and guide elements according to the invention ensures that the material on the spreading plate cannot build up and remain under the action of the centrifugal force, which would result in imbalances in the operation of the spreading plate and irregularities in the dropping off of the material.
- the classifier illustrated in FIG. 1 contains a rotor 1 with a vertical axis 2, which is driven via a shaft 3 by a motor not shown in the drawing.
- the shaft 3 is supported at its lower end in a bearing 4 which is held in the classifier housing 6 via radial struts 5.
- the rotor 1 has on its circumference spaced-apart blades 7 which are expediently adjustable.
- annular scattering plate 8 On the upper side of the rotor 1 there is an annular scattering plate 8 which can be rotated with the rotor, the configuration of which is explained in detail with reference to FIG. 2.
- Two diametrically arranged material insertion nozzles 9, 10 serve to place the material to be sifted onto the spreading plate 8.
- the rotor 1 is surrounded at a distance (distance dimension x) by a fixed guide device 11, which contains adjustable guide vanes 12 and serves to supply a stream of classifying air (arrows 13) which flows from the lower part of the classifier housing 6, the guide device 11 and the rotor 1 flows through and flows through a channel 14 arranged centrally above the rotor 1.
- the guide vanes 12 of the guide apparatus 11 are mounted eccentrically (axis 15), so that the distance x between the guide vanes 12 and the circumference of the rotor 1 remains constant when the guide vane position changes.
- a funnel 16 for discharging the coarse material (arrow 17) is provided below the rotor 1 and the guide apparatus 11.
- the fine material (arrow 18) leaves the classifier together with the classifying air through channel 14 and is separated, for example, in a cyclone arranged outside the classifier.
- the spreading plate 8 is provided in its circumferential area with a number of openings 19, which are arranged in a uniform circumferential division and, in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, have the shape of elongated holes, the axis 20 of which includes an angle a 1 with the radial direction.
- the openings 19 are delimited on the outside by guide elements 21 which are inclined in the direction of rotation of the spreading plate (arrow 22) by the angle a 1 already mentioned with respect to the radial direction.
- a guide element 23 is arranged in each case, which is inclined in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation of the spreading plate 8 with respect to the radial direction by an angle a 2 .
- the guide elements 21 and the guide elements 23 are thus arranged in a zigzag shape, the openings 19 extending into the gusset of the adjoining guide and guide elements 21, 23.
- the guide elements 21 are inclined with respect to the vertical position and cover the openings 19 at a distance.
- the material supplied to the openings 19 along the guide elements 23 (arrow 24) is deflected downwards by the guide elements 21 (arrow 25) and falls through the openings 19 into the viewing space.
- the angle a 1 which the guide elements 21 form with the radial direction, is expediently between 34 and 54 ° , preferably approximately 45 ° .
- the angle a 2 which the guide elements 23 form with the radial direction, is expediently between 25 and 45 ° , preferably around 36 ° .
- the openings 19 are arranged on a diameter which corresponds approximately to the average diameter of the fixed diffuser 11. In this way, in contrast to the previously known designs, the material is not sprinkled into the space between the guide device 11 and the rotor 1, but rather into the guide device itself. As a result, coarse particles of good are separated off on the walls of the guide vanes 12 and fall directly down into the funnel 16 without stressing the part of the viewing space located between the guide device 11 and the rotor 1.
- the openings 19 are designed trapezoidal, the trapezoidal base being delimited by the guide elements 21.
- the guiding element 23 moves to a certain extent away from the crop flow during the rotating movement of the spreading disc 8, so that caking on the guiding element and a strong one Wear can be avoided.
