Abstract
Description
Printing forms, for example printing cylinders, are conventionally cleaned with solvents by spraying the printing form with the solvent in a cleaning booth over a perforated tube. The ink residues on the printing form are at least partially dissolved in the solvent. The dissolved color residues accumulate in the solvent, so that it has to be replaced relatively often. The contaminated solvent is difficult to remove in an environmentally friendly manner. It is also very expensive to use the solvent in a closed circuit, because the dissolved ink residues chemically bad g again from the solvent e-separates can be. In addition, in known systems, contact with the solvent and its vapors endangers the operating personnel.
A method and a device according to the preamble of
A cleaning device for dampening rollers is known from FR-A 1 012 324. Here, in a closed chamber, a solvent is sprayed over a horizontal tube with a series of openings onto a dampening roller which is rotatably mounted and driven underneath. This removes the ink residues on the dampening roller and throws them off.
From FR-A 2 288 616 a device for cleaning screen printing screens is known. The screen to be cleaned is clamped on a frame in a chamber. Below the sieve are arranged two pipes, each rotatable about their axis, each with a row of spray nozzles. The screen is sprayed with a solvent through these nozzles. The backflowing solvent is recycled through a filter and a pump. The solvent vapors are extracted.
A similar device for cleaning screen printing screens with which water-soluble inks have been printed is out known from US-A 3,656,493. Here a slide is passed over the sieve in a two-dimensional pattern. The slide carries a nozzle with which the screen is sprayed with a steam or water jet. The feed pressure of the nozzle is significantly below 20 bar, otherwise the sieve would be torn apart. This device is only suitable for screens that have water-soluble color residues. As with FR-A 2 288 616, other solvents would have to be used for water-insoluble paints.
All these described devices work with a solvent and relatively low pressures, so they are based on the dissolving of the paint residues by means of the solvent. In some of these proposals, although the solvent is circulated in a closed circuit, if necessary with a filter, the dissolved paint residues accumulate in the solvent, so that it has to be replaced relatively often, which leads to the mentioned problems with disposal.
The invention has for its object to eliminate the disadvantages of the known methods and systems for cleaning a printing form by means of a liquid.
This object is achieved with the characterizing features of
The essence of this solution is that the color residues are removed by the impulse of a water jet, i.e. a liquid in which the color residues are not soluble.
This makes it possible to separate the removed paint residues from the water by simply filtering them, so that the water can be used in a closed circuit and no liquid waste is generated. The filtered paint residues can be removed in an environmentally friendly manner, e.g. by burning in waste incineration plants. Since only water is required as the cleaning liquid, the operating personnel are not at risk from skin contact or vapors. In addition, the acute explosion and fire hazard associated with conventional cleaning fluids has been eliminated.
From GB-A 2 003 840 it is known to clean plastic containers for foods such as fruits, vegetables, meat, fish or drinks with a high pressure water jet. The water can be circulated in a closed circuit with a high pressure pump and filters. Since some of the food is dissolved in the water, the water must also be changed periodically. However, there is no disposal problem here because the polluted water can be fed into the sewage system without any problems.
Darin zeigt:
- Fig. 1 ein Schema einer Anlage,
- Fig. 2 einen Axialschnitt durch eine Reinigungskabine,
- Fig. 3 einen Schnitt längs der Linie III-III in Fig. 2,
- Fig. 4 eine Variante mit drehbarem Düsenhalter.

If, for reasons of space, the
Fig. 2 shows a section through the
The
Instead of the
The height of the
Instead of the height-
In order to be able to also coat the end faces 32 of the
Thus, both the distance of the
These nozzle movements can be preprogrammed so that the entire cleaning process runs automatically. However, for the same purpose it is also possible to provide sensors in the cabin which scan the contour of the pressure cylinder and accordingly control the movements of the nozzle.
As a variant of a pivotable nozzle, a rotating nozzle is shown in FIG. 4. The
To prevent the printing form from rusting, an anti-corrosion agent can be added to the water in the circuit.
