Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for contacting printed circuit boards according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- the object of the invention is to design a device of the type mentioned in the introduction in such a way that simple and safe contacting of the printed circuit board is possible.
- the object is achieved in a device of the type mentioned at the outset according to the characterizing part of the first claim.
- resilient contact arms are formed on at least one of the clip side surfaces in a second contact plane perpendicular to the first contact plane on an additional contact surface of the printed circuit board receptacle in order to improve the contact reliability.
- the contact arms have stops at their free ends that limit the spring area. so that overexertion of the contact arms is avoided even when actuated up to the stop.
- the resilient contact arms also result in safe and vibration-proof mounting of the circuit board in the circuit board receptacle.
- a circuit board 2 is locked in place on the floor pan 1 of a text terminal device, which is only shown in part here.
- the circuit board 2 which is laminated on one or two sides, has on its surface a circumferential conductor track 3 serving as an OV line, to which reference earth is applied via the contacting device described below.
- spring clips 4 made of stainless spring steel are provided, which enclose the circuit boards on one side.
- the spring clips 4 have claws 5 which are bent inwards on their front side and which, when the spring clips are fitted, bite into the OV lines 3 arranged on both sides of the printed circuit board.
- the spring clips 4 are only pushed onto the printed circuit board 3 after the components have been completely soldered. When it is pushed on, any dirt, whether it is colophony or oxide layers of the conductor tracks, is penetrated by the sharp-edged claws 5 and thus an electrical contact of the OV line 3 is established.
- the circuit board 3 After attaching the spring clips and thus contacting the OV line, the circuit board 3 is locked in the circuit board receptacle, which consists of fixed counter bearings 9 and one opposite the fixed counter bearings 9 th spring element 8 exists.
- the spring element 8 presses the circuit board 2 and thus the clamps 4 with their front and / or underside in a first contacting level onto the metal parts of the counter-holder 9, thus producing a short and secure connection of the OV line to the housing 1.
- FIGS. 5 to 5 A significant improvement in contact security and a reduction in contact resistance - especially in the case of large printed circuit boards - is described in Dar. Position of FIGS. 5 to 5 by expanding the contact also in a second contact plane perpendicular to the first contact plane (printed circuit board plane).
- the number of contact surfaces per spring clip 4 can be multiplied by two or more additional spring contact arms 10 which are provided on the underside of the spring clip 4 (FIG. 5) and which are supported on an additional contact surface 11 of the counter-holder 9 when the spring clip 4 is installed without affecting handling during assembly and service.
- a prerequisite for reliable contact in the area of the contact arms 10 is that the force F of the axially acting spring element 8 or several other spring elements has the radial d. H. the frictional forces acting perpendicular to the first contacting plane (second contacting plane) of the spring clips 4 exceeds with sufficient certainty.
- the circuit board 2 can be latched particularly easily into the circuit board receptacle by the formation of the springy contact arms 10 on the spring clips 4, the springy contact arms 10 of the spring clips 4 supporting the circuit board and the board against the corners overlapping projections Press 15 of the PCB holder.
