Definitions

  • a break contact arrangement of this type is known from DE-A-28 51 738.
  • the contact blades are formed by packaged stamped parts that are held together by bolts. Each group of contact plates is penetrated by two of these connecting bolts.
  • the contact lamellae are therefore not movable independently of one another, which under certain circumstances can lead to differently sized contact forces.
  • the invention is based on a break contact arrangement of the type mentioned the task of an economically producible, d. H. Disconnect contact arrangement consisting of as few parts as possible, which is characterized by a high current carrying capacity.
  • the multi-armed spacers allow an independent displacement while maintaining the desired distance of the contact lamellae and thus independent of the adjacent contact lamellae on the conductors to be connected. Furthermore, the multi-armed leaf spring ensures the desired contact pressure at the contact points of each contact lamella, although it is a single component.
  • the construction of the holder of the isolating contact arrangement facilitates assembly due to its construction from individual parts and allows the use of relatively thick sheet metal parts, since no bending processes are to be carried out. The holder is therefore particularly stable. It is also possible to use different materials to improve the magnetic properties for the individual parts.
  • the spacer also has the property of taking over the guiding of the contact lamellae with respect to the forces which occur when being pushed onto a conductor and of ensuring the position within the holder.
  • each contact lamella can be delimited laterally and at the bottom by convex wall surfaces in order to enable the contact lamella to pivot, and the depth of the recess can be dimensioned in accordance with a permissible deflection of the spring members.
  • the contact lamellae can then adapt considerably to different positions of the conductors because both the contact lamellae and the spring members can be pivoted. However, the spring links cannot be damaged.
  • the side walls of the holder can have pegs pointing in the direction of the cover plates, while the cover plates have openings serving for the passage of the pegs.
  • the assembly of a break contact arrangement can then be carried out in such a way that after the parts have been put together in a device, the pressure required for tensioning the spring members is applied and then the pins are caulked or riveted.
  • the side walls of the holder can be provided with extensions for fastening the isolating contact arrangement to a switching device or a stationary part. These can have elongated holes for receiving bolts that extend through the legs of mounting brackets. Another cheap fastening option is provided by side walls. which in the area of one end of each group of contact lamellae each have an incision for engaging a retaining strip which extends approximately at right angles to the plane of the conductor, the extensions being convexly shaped on their side facing an abutment surface. This arrangement is characterized by the particularly low outlay on required parts.
  • the isolating contact arrangement 1 shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 is provided, in particular, for use in low-voltage circuit breakers in an extendable version. Switchgear of this type and associated guide parts and switchgear suitable for using such switchgear and guide parts are generally known and are therefore not described in more detail below.
  • the isolating contact arrangement 1 has a frame-like holder 2, which consists of two identical side walls 3 and two identical cover plates 4. Within the holder 2 are two mutually opposing groups of five bridge-like contact lamellae 5 each. These are provided with curved contact surfaces 6, which are used for contacting the conductors 7 and 8 shown in broken lines. As a rule, the isolating contact arrangement 1 will be in constant engagement with one of these two conductors.
  • FIGS. 1 to 3 show two brackets 10, each of which is attached with play using a bolt 12 passing through the side walls 3 and the legs 11 of the brackets 10. 2 and 3 each show two screws 14 passing through the middle part 13 of each bracket 10 as further fastening parts
  • the side walls 3 of the holder 2 are flat stamped sheet metal parts. They have cuts 15 and 16 on opposite sides for the conductors 7 and 8 indicated in FIG. 1.
  • the isolating contact arrangement 1 can therefore also interact perfectly with conductors which are wider than the holder 2, with a lateral offset of the conductors within certain limits against each other is permissible
  • the side wall 3 each has two pins 17, which are provided for connecting the side walls 3 to the cover plates 4, as will be explained. There is an approximately semicircular recess between the pins 17. 20.
  • the side walls 3 are provided with two openings 21 which lie on a line connecting the centers of the recesses 20.
  • the side walls 3 - are provided with two extensions 22, in each of which there is an elongated hole 23.
  • the side walls 60 have extensions 61 which are designed without elongated holes, since two retaining strips 62 are provided for fastening the isolating contact arrangement and extend parallel to a stop surface 63 and are fastened to it in a suitable manner, not shown in any more detail.
  • each side wall 60 is provided with an incision 64 in the region of the end of each group of contact blades 5 facing the stop surface 63.
  • these incisions are located between the extensions 61 and the cover plates 4.
  • the position of the retaining strips 62 and the depth of the incisions 64 are coordinated with one another such that the isolating contact arrangement can be displaced in the direction of an offset of the conductors to compensate for tolerances that occur.
  • a low-friction sliding movement is made possible by a convex shape on those sides of the extensions 61 which face the stop surface 63.
  • the surfaces of the extensions facing the holding strips 62 are also convex in shape.
  • cover plates 4 to be connected to the side walls 3 are shown in FIGS. 10 and 11.
  • the cover plates 4 are essentially rectangular parts with rounded corners, which have four openings 24 provided for the passage of the pins 17 of the side walls 3.
  • a bead 25 In the middle between the public 24 is a bead 25 with an approximately semicircular profile, the purpose of which will be explained.
  • the cover plates are made of a non-magnetic steel with chromium, nickel and titanium as alloy components. Materials with this composition also have the property of very high mechanical strength. This is used particularly advantageously in the embodiment according to FIGS. 10 and 11 due to the stiffening by the bead 25. Conversely, one could also produce the side walls 3 according to FIG. 8 or the side walls 60 according to FIG. 9 from a non-magnetic steel, while the cover plates consist of normal magnetic structural steel.
  • the contact force required for a low-loss current transition from the contact plates 5 to the conductors 7 and 8 is applied by means of the multi-arm spring members 30 shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. These have a central web 31 and arms 32 extending symmetrically from both sides thereof. In the relaxed state shown, the spring member 30 essentially forms a section of an arc. Deviating from this shape, the ends 33 are bent against the main curvature with a narrower bending radius. Furthermore, a dome-like curvature 34 with a narrower bending radius, which is also opposite to the main curvature, is provided in the region of the web 31. There is a distance 35 between the adjacent arms 32, which corresponds to the intended distance of the contact blades 5. The transition between the adjacent arms 32 is made with roundings 36 in order to avoid a notch effect.
  • the spring member 30 can be produced from a spring plate of a suitable nature by a single or multiple stamping and embossing processes.
  • FIGS. 6 and 7 show a spacer 40.
  • This has an approximately U-shaped middle piece 41, the bottom 42 of which is extended at both ends in the form of extensions 43.
  • Arms 45 extend from the legs 44 of the middle piece 41 with a width which corresponds to the intended spacing of the contact lamellae 5.
  • the distance between the arms 45 is dimensioned accordingly to the width of the contact lamellae 5.
  • the arms 45 are bent outwards in such a way that they form an acute angle 47 with the legs 44 of the middle piece 41.
  • the spacer 40 can also be produced from a suitable steel sheet as a stamped and bent part.
  • each contact lamella 5 has a protruding center piece 50 between the curved contact surfaces 6, which is provided for conductors 7 and 8 which are not retracted to bear against the identically formed center piece of an opposing contact lamella 5.
  • the dimensioning of these centerpieces ensures that the contact surfaces 6 face each other at a distance which is approximately less than the thickness of the conductors 7 and 8. In this position, the contact blades 5 are under a prestress, which is applied by the spring members 30.
  • each of the spring feathers is supported with its web 31 on the bead 25 of the cover plates 4, the interaction with the curvature 34 of the web 31 of the spring members 30 resulting in a dome-like support which centers each spring member 30 and thus secures it against lateral displacement .
  • the bead 25 ensures a substantial increase in the strength against bending.
  • the length of the resilient arms 32 is dimensioned such that the points of attack of the bent ends 33 are near the ends of the contact blades 5.
  • the contact lamellae 5 also have a recess 52 on their side facing the spring members 30, which, starting from a rectangular basic shape, is delimited laterally and at the bottom by convex wall members 53, 54 and 55. With this recess, each contact lamella 5 is guided on the associated spacer 40, the convex shape of the wall surfaces permitting a tilt-free pivoting movement of the contact lamellae.
  • the depth of the recess 52 is selected so that the spreading of the contact blades is limited and, despite the pivoting movement of the contact blades, excessive rotation of the spring members 30 is avoided.
  • the spacers 40 are supported by means of their extensions 43 in the side walls 3 and thereby hold the contact lamella 5 securely against all forces which occur when a switching device is retracted and extended. Furthermore, the contact blades 5 are supported against each other by the arms 45 of the spacers 40.
  • FIGs 1, 2 and 3 also show that the side walls 3 are connected to the cover plates 4 by the pin 17 of the side walls 3, which protrude through the openings 24 of the cover plates 4 and the projecting ends are riveted or caulked.
  • the bead 25 is received in the recesses 20 in the region of the side walls 3.
  • the holder 2 can nevertheless be displaced to a certain extent relative to the bracket 10 thanks to the elongated holes 23. This gives the possibility that the holder 2 can align with the contact blades 5 on the conductor shown in Figure 1. Approximately the same contact forces on the contact surfaces 6 will also result if the conductors 7 and 8 are not exactly aligned because the guidance of the contact lamella 5 on the spacers 40 intentionally forms a precise parallel guidance and the spring members 30 can follow a change in the angular position due to their calotte-like mounting on the bead 25.
  • the contact block described is designed so that it has essentially no laterally protruding parts, so that two or more identical blocks can be installed next to one another without increasing space to increase the nominal current with the same specific load.
  • the structure described is in principle suitable for different numbers of contact blades. For this purpose, only an adaptation of the cover plates 4 and the spring members 30 and the spacers 40 is required.
