Definitions
- the invention relates to a staircase-shaped support structure according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a staircase-shaped supporting structure composed of individual supporting elements has already become known from DE-U-66 10 332.
- the upper end of a supporting bolt is rigidly welded to the front end of the supporting part of an upper supporting element for a step, the lower conical end of which is anchored in a corresponding conical bore in the rear tubular piece of the supporting part of a next lower supporting element.
- the conical end of the support bolt and the corresponding conical bore in the rear pipe section must be carefully machined with a high dimensional tolerance so that the conical end of the support bolt finds a snug fit in the conical bore of the rear pipe section.
- the conical anchoring between the lower end of the support bolt and the bore in the pipe section is secured by a locking screw, which engages with its thread in a central bore at the lower end of the support bolt and is supported with its head on a locking plate, the outer edge of which on the the lower edge of the pipe section.
- the known construction is very complex in terms of production technology because of the necessary high dimensional tolerances and is therefore associated with relatively high costs in terms of production.
- the locking screw has no anchoring function. It only has the task of preventing the fit from loosening due to vibrations in the stairs. The stability of the stairs is largely determined by the fit.
- the object of the invention is to provide a stair-shaped support structure of the type mentioned, in which the high manufacturing costs of a precise fit between conical surfaces is avoided, but the advantage of such a fit for securely anchoring interlocking stair components is essentially retained.
- a support element according to the invention is indicated as a whole by 1.
- Several such interconnected support elements form a support structure according to the invention for straight and / or spiral staircases.
- Each support element 1 serves to support a step, e.g. wooden.
- the supporting structure according to the invention preferably forms a central cheek, which is composed of individual central cheek parts, a central cheek part corresponding to a supporting element.
- a horizontally arranged support part 2 made of a square tube.
- a vertically downwardly projecting pipe section 3 is welded.
- a vertically upwardly projecting rear pipe section 4 is welded to the rear end of the square tube.
- the rear pipe section 4 is significantly shorter than the front pipe section 3 and is only slightly longer than the support part 2 is high.
- An end section 5 at the lower end of the front pipe section 3 is provided with an outer surface 6 which is tapered in the shape of a truncated cone.
- a first perforated disc 7 is firmly welded.
- a second perforated disc 8 is firmly welded into the front pipe section 3 near its lower end.
- a conical sleeve 9 is supported on the first perforated disk 7, the cylindrical outer surface of which fits snugly against the cylindrical inner wall of the pipe section 4.
- the inner surface 9 'of the tapered sleeve 9 is correspondingly frustoconical, the wall thickness of the tapered sleeve 9 decreasing towards the upper end of the rear pipe section 4.
- the conical surface 9 'of the conical sleeve 9 on the one hand and the conical surface 6 on the front pipe section 3 have essentially the same slope, as shown in FIG. 2.
- the truncated cone-shaped outer surface on the front pipe section 3 can thus be supported on the corresponding truncated cone-shaped inner surface of the conical sleeve 9.
- the first perforated disk 7 has a central hole 10 through which the shaft 11 of a clamping bolt 12 engages with play.
- the clamping bolt 12 has a bolt head 13 which is supported on the outside of the first perforated disc 7.
- the free end of the shaft 11 is provided with a thread 14 which engages in the central threaded bore 15 which forms the hole of the second perforated disc 8 in the front pipe section 3.
- the tapered sleeve 9 has an axial length such that in the tightly clamped state of the clamping bolt 12 it projects somewhat beyond the lower end of the front pipe section 3.
- the conical sleeve 9 can be particularly advantageous to form the conical sleeve 9 from a synthetic material. In this way it is possible to compensate even larger tolerances in the manufacture of the frustoconical outer surface 6 on the pipe section 3. It is clear to the person skilled in the art to select such a plastic for the taper sleeve 9 which, when the clamping bolt 12 is tightened, pulls tightly into the conical annular gap between the two pipe pieces 3 and 4 and thereby a rigid connection between the pipe pieces 3 and 4 via one ensures essential axial length.
- the conical sleeve 9 consists of a flexible plastic, it may be advantageous to provide it with a longitudinal slot, not shown.
- the taper sleeve 9 can be dimensioned such that it has a slightly larger outer diameter than the inner diameter of the tube piece 4 before assembly in the rear pipe section 4.
- the width of the longitudinal slot or longitudinal gap can then be selected such that the conical sleeve is itself can be inserted under prestress into the rear pipe section 4, the longitudinal slot being more or less compressed.
- tapered sleeve 9 may also be advantageous to provide the tapered sleeve 9 with a plurality of axial slots, e.g. 3 or 5 slots to be provided, which start from the thinner sleeve end and end at a distance from the thicker sleeve end.
- conical sleeves made of metal can also be suitable, especially if they consist of metals which are relatively soft compared to the steel used for the pipe pieces. Even in the case of metallic conical sleeves, it can be advantageous to provide one longitudinal slot or a plurality of non-continuous slots.
- first perforated disk 7 which can be inserted into the rear pipe section 4 with relatively little play and which is only supported on the wider end face of the conical sleeve 9.
- the tapered sleeve 9 is largely forced into the free annular gap between the two pipe sections 3 and 4 via the perforated disk 7, in order to thereby achieve a tight fit of the pipe section 3 in the pipe section 4, which are firmly wedged together.
- the second perforated disk 8 near the lower end of the front pipe section 3 and preferably in the region of the frustoconical outer surface of the front pipe section 3.
- the position of the first perforated disk 7 in the rear pipe section 4 is advantageously selected such that the outer surface of the bolt head 13 is approximately aligned with the end face at the lower end of the pipe section 4. It is then also possible to cover the open lower end of the pipe section 4 with a plastic sleeve 16 which partially engages in the pipe section 4 and is supported with a flat edge on the lower end face of the pipe section 4.
