Description
Heel nailing machine The invention relates to a heel nailing machine, which is used in particular to attach wooden heels of women's shoes, the Nails are driven in from the inside of the shoe. With machines like that abutments are provided which support the shoe from different sides and hold it against the driving pressure of the nails. With the known machines these abutments are controlled in such a way that first the tread abutment, then the heel back abutment and finally the side abutments to the system come to the market. The devices for moving the individual abutments are coupled with each other, so that when the tread abutment is initially has touched down on the step, the pressure on this step is increased, until the other abutments have also come to the facility. So it is when applying of different paragraph forms always necessary, the intervention of the individual abutment pr Adjust with the paragraph precisely to avoid putting pressure on that first the step surface abutment that comes into contact with the heel is too large. Through this that is, the heel could be damaged. To avoid this inconvenience, it is proposed according to the invention that the side abutments during their movement control with the other abutments in paragraph clamping position a locking device that the step surface abutment already engaged with the paragraph against a Block further movement, so that the step through the tread abutment on the heel tread pressure exerted is limited.

in Eingriff tretendes Widerlager 22 einwirkt.
The abutment 18 engaging with the stepping surface of the shoulder is seated on a block 3o which is supported by two arms 32 which are rotatable on the machine frame. The abutment i8 can be set in various angular positions by means of a worm 33. The block 30 is held in the set position along the arms 3a by screws 35 (FIG. 3). The pivot pins of the arms 32 can be inserted into various holes 36, 37, 38 (Fig. I) in a block 39 on the machine frame io. The surface of the block 30 lies against a hemispherical stop 42 which is fastened to a handle 43 screwed into the spindle 1,6. The stop 42 has a flat lower surface over which the block 30 slides when the head piece 12 is moved down to clamp the shoulder against the workpiece.
The choice of one of the holes 36, 37, 3 $ for receiving the pivot of the arms 32 is determined by the height of the heel to be machined. The block 3o of the abutment 18 should namely always move approximately parallel to the tread surface of the shoulder towards the shoulder during the downward movement of the head piece 12. The abutment 18 moves in the heel clamping position along an arc struck around the pivot of the arms 32, the radius of which corresponds to the length of the arms 32. The end movement of the abutment along this path is essentially perpendicular to the stepping surface of the heel. The block 30 is pulled against the stop 42 by a spring 44 - (FIG. 2). As can be seen, there are two separate adjustment options for the block 30 - including the - abutment 18. First, the effective length of the arms and the radius of the arcuate path of movement of the block is changed by adjusting the block 3o along the arms 32 (screw 35), and second, by moving the pivot of the arms 32 into one of the holes 36, 37, 38, the center of this arcuate path is moved. The pivot of the arms 32 is inserted into the upper hole 36 when machining particularly high heels (over 8.5 cm). The middle hole 37 is used when machining steps from 5 to 8 cm, while the lower hole 38 is used when machining steps less than 5 cm in height. The handle 43 is vertically adjustable in the housing 12 by means of a hand wheel 45 (FIG. I). The handwheel 45 is connected to the spindle 16 by a rod 47 (FIG. 3). By rotating the spindle 16 by means of the wheel 45, the handle 43, which is held against rotation by a locking piece 49, is either screwed further into the handle 16 or out of it. The abutment 22 automatically rests fully against the back surface of the shoulder, since it is freely movable in a curved guide in its carrier 25. The carrier 25 can be adjusted horizontally with respect to its carrier spindle 31 by means of a screw 29. The rear end of the lever 2o is in engagement with the support spindle 31. Due to the adjustment options described, the abutment i8 can also rest fully against the step surface of the heel, regardless of the height and inclination of the heel.
In order to limit the pressure exerted on the tread of the heel, the front ends of the arms 32 are connected by a cross piece 46 to a vertical rod 48 which engages a slide 5o. The carriage 5o is movable in a guide 52 on the machine frame and is pulled upward by the spring 44. The carriage has teeth on both sides into which two pairs of pawls 54, 56 arranged on the guide 52 can fall. The levers 24 carrying the side abutments 26 have upright arms 6o (FIG. I) which are connected to one another by a spring 62 (FIG. 2). The spring strives to lift up the abutments -26 and to keep them separate from one another. The levers 24 also carry upright fingers 64 (Fig: i) which strike against tail pieces of the pawls 54, 56 so that when the abutments 26 are moved against the shoulder, the fingers 64 are moved sideways away from the pawls and release them . Thus, one or the other pawl falls under the influence of springs 66, 68 into the teeth on one side or the other of the slide 50. The teeth on one side of the slide are arranged so that they lie in the vertical direction between the teeth on the other side of the slide, so that a locking effect can occur when shifting by only half a tooth width on one side or the other . One of the two pawls 54, 56 is a quarter tooth longer on each side of the locking slide than the adjacent pawl, so that a locking effect can be brought about as soon as it is shifted by a quarter of a tooth. When a pawl engages the carriage 5o, the arms 32 and the abutment 18 carried by them are locked against further downward movement. The further downward movement of the head piece 12 then only causes a further downward movement of the back and side abutments of the shoulder. The pressure exerted against the tread of the heel is adjustable and is regulated by adjusting the tension of the spring 62, which usually keeps the side abutments 26 apart. The adjustment of the spring is made possible in that it is connected to one of the arms 6o by means of a bolt 70 .
When the paragraph is clamped, the abutment 18 initially occurs with it the tread of the paragraph in engagement. After that, by further downward movement of the head piece 12 of the balance lever 2o swung, with its front end upwards goes and the rear end goes down while the back abutment 22 against the Moving paragraph. Another oscillation of the lever 2o will occur after engaging of the back abutment 22 prevented with the paragraph, after which the head piece 12 at stationary lever 2o continues to move downwards. Through this further downward movement the side abutments 26 are moved against the shoulder because; the inner ends of the Lever 24 are mounted within lever 20. At this time the abutment will be 18 locked by one of the pawls 54 or 56, so that by, further downward movement of the head piece 12 only the one exerted on the back and the sides of the heel Print can be enlarged. The pawls 54, 56 are of the fingers 64 from the Teeth of the slide 5o excavated when the side abutments are with the head piece after then nailing the heel back to the starting position.
