Die Erfindung beruht auf der Erkenntnis, daß sich auf der Stopfbüchsenseite einer doppelt wirkenden Dieselmaschine eine Störung des Spülverlaufes durch die Kolbenstange, die hier infolge ihres großen Durchmessers einen Teil des Zylinderinnern versperrt, vermeiden läßt.
