Selbsttätiger Verschluß von Bremsschlauchköpfen. Die Bremsschlauchköpfe
der Luftdruckvon Straßenbahnen und Eisenbahnen sollen, wenn sie im Gebrauch sind;
an ein entsprecbend gestaltetes und an der Wagenkopfwand angebrachtes Gegenstück
angekuppelt werden, damit kein Staub eindringt, der sich nachher in die Bremsventile
festsetzt und sie unwirksam machen kann. Die Wirksamkeit der Einrichtung ist aber
von der Tätigkeit der Bedienungspersonen abhängig und versagt daher häufig, deshalb
ist ein selbsttätiger Verschluß zweckmäßig. Nach der Erfindung, die einen solchen
selbsttätigen Verschluß betrifft, besteht er aus einer Verschlußklappe mit auf der
geschlossenen Seite des Kopfes nahe detn Schlauchende angebrachter Drehachse, einem
nach den Schlauch zu gerichteten Handgriff und gegebenenfalls einer vorderen Schnappfeder.
Die Anbringung dieses Verschlusses an den Bremsschlauchköpfen setzt das Vorhandensein
von Lageraugen für die Verschlwßklappe voraus. Da diese an den vorhandrenea Brenisschlauchköpfen
nicht angebracht sind, ist bis zum Aufbruch der vorhandenen Bremsschlauchköpfe ein
Aushilfsmittel erforderlich. Nach der Erfindung besteht es darin, daß die Verschlußklappe

Die Schnappfeder ist so bemessen,
daß sie das selbsttätige Zufallen des Deckels nicht beeinträchtigt, dagegen das
Abklappen des Deckels bei schrägem Hängen und bei Stößen verhindert. Die Lagerung
der Klappe in der Nähe des Schlauchendes und auf der geschlossenen Stete des Kopfes,
also auf der der Öffnung entgegengesetzten Seite bewirkt, daß die Klappe beim Herabhängen
des Schlauches selbsttätig zufällt. Der Handgriff 9 wird bei der Handhabung des
Bremsschlauchkopfes von der Hand oder dem Daumen zusammen mit dem Bremsschlauch
ergriffen, so daß die Klemme in geöffneter Stellung festgehalten wird und die Handhabung
