Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Verbinden der Enden von breiten Kinofilmen mit mehreren Bildreihen. Erfahrungsgemäß bietet die Verbindung derartiger Filme bisher große Schwierigkeiten, da das übliche Verkleben unter Verwendung von Azeton oder Amylazetat ein Krümmen oder Schrumpfen des Zelluloids bewirkt, wodurch neben der durch das Kleben verursachten Unmöglichkeit der Aufhebung der Verbindung ohne Zerstörung von Teilen des Films ein leichtes Durchlaufen des letzteren durch den Vorführungsapparat sozusagen ausgeschlossen wird. Aus diesem Grunde haben sich die Fachkreise schon lange die Aufgabe gestellt, eine Verbindungsvorrichtung zu schaffen, die neben der leichten Lösbarkeit der Filmenden ein ungestörtes Durchlaufen des Films durch den Ap-■parat ermöglicht. Diese Aufgabe ist gemäß der Erfindung in der Weise gelöst worden, daß an den Filmenden nahe deren Kanten schmale Verbindungsglieder, wie beispielsweise Bolzen und Muttern, Druckknöpfe, Papierklammern u. dgl., angebracht sind, und daß 25- die Endkante des innenliegenden Films konkav zugeschnitten ist. Die Benutzung von Druckknöpfen, Klammern o. ■dgl., zum Verden zweier Teile, auch von Filmen, ist an sich bekannt, weshalb die Erfindung lediglich in der Verbindung dieses Merkmals mit dem konkaven Zuschnitt der Endkante des innenliegenden Films erblickt wird.The invention relates to a device for joining the ends of wide motion picture films with a plurality of rows of images. Wenn auf diese Weise die benachbarten Bilder in ihre genaue Lage gebracht sind, wird nahe jeder Seite der Filmenden ein Loch α² durch die beiden übereinanderliegenden Enden gemacht. Die Enden werden dann von den Stiften g entfernt und ein Teil b eines Druckknopfes durch jedes Paar der Löcher a² gesteckt. Dieser Teil b muß genau in den Löchern a^z passen, damit die Enden in ihren genauen relativen Lagen gehalten werden. Der andere Teil b¹ des Druckknopfes wird darm auf jeden Teil b gedrückt und durch Einschnappen festgelegt.
