Bei einem herkömmlichen Fahrradrahmen, der im wesentlichen aus einem unteren Rahmenrohr, einem oberen Rahmenrohr und einem Sattelstützrohr besteht, wird dazu bisher ein mit einer Sattelstütze versehener Sattel verwendet, wobei die Sattelstütze teleskopartig mehr oder weniger tief in die obere Öffnung des Sattelstützrohrs einführbar ist und in der gewünschten Position fixiert wird. An der Rohrmanschette 6 sind die üblichen (nicht dargestellten) Einstellungsorgane zur Höhenregulierung vorgesehen. Die Rohrmanschette 6 ist über ein Knotenblech 7 an dem Sattelstützrohr 4 befestigt. Außerdem ist das Stützrohr 4 über die Gewindezugstange 8, die an einem Halteelement 9 angelenkt ist, mit dem oberen Rahmenrohr 2 verbunden. An beiden Enden der Gewindezugstange 8 sind Drehscharniere vorgesehen. Insgesamt wird also ein Dreieckglied gebildet, das an drei Drehscharnieren 10, 11, 12 schwenkbar ist.
