Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur kontinuierlichen Herstellung von Larainatbändern, bei dem mehrere unterschiedliche Materialbahnen in einer mit einer beheizten Trommel und einem mitlaufenden Preßband versehenen Bandpresse miteinander verpreßt werden, wobei eine Dekorpapierbahh mit einem thermisch aushärtbaren Bindemittel imprägniert und darauf mit mindestens einer weiteren Materialbahn in der Bandpresse bei einem Preß-

druck von 2 bis 10 kp/crn verbunden wird, derart daß die Dekorpapierbahn der beheizten Bandpressen-Trommeloberfläche am nächsten liegt und als an die Dekorpapierbahn anschließende MaterijTlbahn eine Vulkanfiberfolienbahn oder eine Bahn aus imprägniertem Karton eingesetzt wird.
Die Imprägnierung des Dekorpapiers erfolgt dabei" "vor teilft"af\ in zwei Stufen, und zwar in einer Vorimprägnierstufe durch ein in Alkohol gelöstes Melaminharz und in einer Nachiraprägnierstufe durch ein in Wasser gelöstes Melaminharz.
Die der Erfindung zugrundeliegende Aufgabe besteht darin, eine vorteilhafte Ausgestaltung des Verfahrens gemäß Hauptpatent anzugeben, bei dem die verwendete Imprägnierung besonders kurze Aushärtezeiten und damit dementsprechend hohe Preßgeschwindigkeiten zuläßt.
Die der Erfindung zugrundeliegende Aufgabe wird dadurch gelöst, daß die Imprägnierung des Dekorpapiers mit einem Bindemittel erfolgt, das in einer 50 - 70%igen wässrigen Melaminharziösung einen Zusatz von Polyvinylalkohol und als Härter ein Erdalkalisalz einer starken Säure enthält. Dabei ktiriri die Imptfäcnieruno vorteilhaft in zwei Stufen, nämlich in einem Vorimpragnierverk und in einem Nachlackierwerk, erfolcren.

In einer vorteilhaften Ausgestaltung der Erfindung enthält das Bindemittel als v/eiteren Zusatz Diäthylenglykol.
Die Erfindung wird nachstehend anhand eines Beispiels näher erläutert.
Ein Dekorpapier mit einem Flächengewicht von 80 g/m und einem Titandioxydgehalt von ca. 30 Gew.% wird in einem Zweibadimprägnierwerk mit Kelaminharz imprägniert. Im Vorimp rägnierwerk sowie im Nachlackierwerk wird derselbe Harzansatz eingesetzt, der aus folgenden Komponenten besteht:
100 Gew.Teile einer ca. 60 Gew.%igen wässrigen
Melaminharzlösung 1,5 Gew.Teile Polyvinylalkohol
2 Gew.Teile Diäthylenglykol
0,6 Gew.Teile eines Härters, der aus dem Erdalkalisalz einer starken Säure besteht.
Das Papier wird in der Zweibadimprägniermaschine so imprägniert, daß das Halbfabrikat einen Harzauftrag von ca. 150 % (aufgetragenes Festharz bezogen auf Rohpapiergewicht) und einem volatilen Gehalt von ca. 60 % besitzt.
Das so imprägnierte in Form"einer Bahn vorliegende Dekorpapier wird nun, wie in der Beschreibung zum Hauptpatent näher erläutert, zusammen mit einer Vulkanfiberfolienbahn in der beheizten Bandpresse zu einem Dekorlaminat verpreßt.
Das auf diese Weise erhaltene Dekorlaminat zeichnet sich durch eine besonders gute, geschlossene Oberfläche und eine hohe Wasserdampfunempfindlichkeit aus.

Claims (3)

  1. PATENTANSPRÜCHE
    Verfahren zur kontinuierlichen Herstellung von Laminatbändern, bei dem mehrere unterschiedliche Materialbahnen in einer mit einer beheizten Trommel und einem mitlaufenden Preßband versehenen Bandpresse miteinander verpreßt werden, wobei eine Dekorpapierbahn mit einem thermisch aushärtbaren Bindemittel imprägniert und darauf mit mindestens einer weiteren Materialbahn in
    der Bandpresse bei einem Preßdruck von 2 bis 10 kp/cm verbunden wird, derart daß die Dekorpapierbahn der beheizten Bandoressen-Trommeloberflache am nächsten liegt und als an die Dekorpapierbahn anschließende Materialbahn eine Vulkanfiberfolienbahn oder eine Bahn aus imprägniertem Karton eingesetzt wird, gemäß Hauptpatent.. ( A 9745/73), dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Impräonierung des Dekorpapiers mit einem Bindemittel erfolgt, das in einer 50 - 70%igen Melaminharzlösung einen Zusatz von Polyvinylalkohol und als Härter ein Erdalkalisalz einer starken Säure enthält.
  2. 2) Verfahren nach Anspruch!, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Imprägnierung in zwei Stufen, nämlich in einem Vorimprägnierwerk und einem Nachlackierwerk, erfolgt.
  3. 3) Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Bindemittel als weiteren Zusatz Diäthylenglykol enthält.
