Description
The invention relates to a capacitor with a base body made of a longitudinally folded, foil web metallized on both sides and lateral contacting layers applied to the folded edges. The invention is also directed to a method for producing such capacitors.
A capacitor of the type indicated above is known from US Pat. No. 2,882,586. This well-known The capacitor is designed in such a way that the adjacent folding ducts within the base body ten are mutually exactly aligned.
The object of the invention is to improve a capacitor of this type in such a way that a particularly Stable overall construction of the layered base body while increasing the contact area at the same time is obtained.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the individual folds lying against one another are alternately slightly offset from one another.
Durch diese wechselseitige Versetzung der Einzelfalten ergibt sich eine wesentliche Stabilisierung des Gesamtaufbaus des Grundkörpers, was im Hinblick darauf von ganz besonderer Bedeutung ist, daßThis mutual displacement of the individual folds results in a significant stabilization of the Overall structure of the base body, which is of particular importance in view of the fact that
Durch die wechselweise Versetzung der Einzelfalten wird auch die Kontaktierungsfläche vergrößert und damit die Haftung einer beispielsweise aufgebrachten Schoopierungsschicht verbessertίο such capacitors from very thin, difficult to handling plastic films are built, which can easily slip against each other. Through the alternating displacement of the individual folds also increases the contact area and thus the adhesion a Schoopierungsschicht applied for example improved
The base body preferably consists of a cuboid section in the longitudinal direction evenly folded film web.
Another embodiment variant is characterized in that the at least substantially the depth of the folds determined mutual spacing between the contacting surfaces formed by the folds fastened connections corresponds to a predeterminable grid dimension.
In a preferred method of manufacturing capacitors according to the invention, a double-sided me. ' illized film web from a roll peeled off and continuously provided with folds running in the longitudinal direction of the web and then through Pressing against each other several folds lying next to each other formed a basic capacitor, which is of the Side surfaces formed by folding edges are used as contacting areas. This procedure draws is characterized by the fact that the individual folds lying against one another are alternately slightly offset from one another so that an inherently stable capacitor body with no tendency to slip apart is obtained.
According to the method according to the invention, both single lap and mother lap without Difficulties are made, in the case of the production of individual rolls in the longitudinal direction folded, slightly offset individual folds having web is wound on a winding mandrel, while in the case of the production of film capacitors the folded web is wound onto a relatively large core to form a mother roll is and the mother coil obtained by means of known measures, such. B. sawing, cutting, thermal or mechanical separation is broken up into the individual capacitors.

The plastic film webs wound on so-called trunk rolls in the usual widths of 300 to 600 mm are first metallized on both sides by means of conventional measures, with the optional necessary free edge strips remain on both sides or on one side without metallization or afterwards can be freed. In addition, if necessary, it can be hidden at predetermined intervals or subsequent removal of one or both metallizations across individual tracks or across an arrangement of free zones can be created across the entire width of the log. This already arises a functionally finished capacitor in the form of a dielectric with metallization on both sides, which is insulated on all sides from the next metallization by a free edge without metallization. One Tolerance changes during the further processing of these film webs metallized on both sides are not permitted fear that the usual air inclusions have no effect on the capacitance behavior of the capacitor can have.
In Fig. 1, a supply roll 1 made of plastic film metallized on both sides is shown. From this with The supply roll 1, which is arranged perpendicular to the axis, is pulled off the film web 2, which is metallized on both sides and by means of a folding device consisting, for example, of folding knives 6 or folding rollers - like them is shown for example in Fig.2 - in the longitudinal direction folded and thus consisting of a plurality of similar folds lying next to one another Folded film 3 transferred, which is wound around a winding axis 4 rotated by 90 ° with respect to the unwinding axis so that, for example, in the case of a small mandrel diameter, a coil 5 is formed. It can however, it can also be wound onto a very large core, the resulting core Mother winding for the formation of layer capacitors, partial areas separated according to conventional methods will.
Das sich beim Faltvorgang ergebende Recken der metallisierten Folienbahn in den Faltkantenbereichen 11 führt zu einer dem Aufspringen der gefalteten Bahn entgegenwirkenden Fixieren der einzelnen Falten.3 shows a cross section through the folding film 3 and leaves the plastic film 7 with the metal sheets 8, 9 and free edges 10 applied on both sides recognize. The number of folds located between the free edges 10 depends on the selected width the film web and the depth of the folds determined. The stretching of the metallized ones resulting from the folding process The web of film in the folded edge regions 11 causes the folded web to spring open counteracting fixation of the individual folds.
Fig. 4 shows a round roll, it can be seen that created by the closely spaced folding edges 11 very good contact options which are of great importance for the pulse capability of regenerative capacitors.
Fig.fi shows a flat winding 12, which by Flattening a round roll wound on a mandrel of suitable size can be obtained.
Durch diese gegenseitige Versetzung d^r Faltkanten '.~rd eine vorteilhafte Vergrößerung aer koniaktbiidenu'e'i Oberfläche uhne Minderung des Kapazitätswertes erreichtThe enlarged detailed representation according to FIG. 6 shows the slight mutual offset of the folding edges 11, 11 'possible according to a preferred embodiment of the invention. Through this mutual Dislocation of the folding edges. ~ Rd an advantageous Enlargement of the koniaktbiidenu'e'i surface uhne Reduction of the capacity value reached
Fig. 7 shows a cross-sectional view of a regenerative film capacitor 13, which is designed as a pluggable Bai element for printed circuits. The folding of the film 7, which is metallized on both sides, is designed in its folding depth 17 so that the connections 15, 15 'welded or soldered into the Schoopierung 14, 14' at the folding edges 11, 11 'correspond to the desired grid dimension 16, while the connections 15, 15' shown in FIG .9 drawn height 18 is determined by separating the desired capacitance value from a large mother lap.
The folds lying against one another are somewhat streaked with respect to one another, so that at the contacting areas Fold edges 11, 11 'that are slightly offset from one another are provided and thus an enlarged one Shooping area available, and better clawing of the applied during shooping Layer with the folded edges is made possible.
The Fig. 8 and 9 leave the extensive contact recognize the areas of the capacitor formed by the folded edges.
