Lösungsmitteln jedoch leichter löslichen Azoverbindungen als Dispersionsfarbstoffe zu verwenden.
Unter Halogen ist hier allgemein Fluor und insbesondere Chlor oder Brom zu verstehen.
Die Alkylreste, und damit auch die Alkoxygruppen etc.,
enthalten 1 bis 8, vorzugsweise 1, 2, 3 oder 4 Kohlenstoff atome. Unter Alkyl ist auch Cycloalkyl mit 5-8 C-Atomen,
insbesondere Cyclohexyl und Methylcyclohexyl zu verstehen. Als Substituenten an den Alkylresten
(höchstens 2) kommen Halogen, Cyan, Hydroxyl, Alkoxy, Phenyl, Phenoxy, Acyl, Acyloxy oder Acylamino in Betracht.
Die Phenylreste können ebenfalls diese Substituenten und noch Alkyl oder Nitro tragen.

Diazotieren und Kuppeln sind seit 100 Jahren allgemein bekannt und werden im vorliegenden Fall auf übliche
Weise durchgeführt.
Die Amine der Formel II sind z.B. aus J.Org.Chem., 37, No. 21 (1972), 3224-6 bekannt, beziehungsweise können
nach bekannten Methoden hergestellt werden.
Die Disazofarbstoffe der Formel I, worin. K einen Rest der Formel
CO-NH-R5-NH-CO
bedeutet, worin R5 die obengenannte Bedeutung besitzt,
R2 jedoch nicht -COOH ist, werden vorteilhaft auch durch
Diazotieren eines Amins der Formel II, Kuppeln mit 2-Hydroxy-3-naphthalincarbonsäure, Ueberfuhren der
Carboxylgruppe in das Säurechlorid oder -bromid und Kondensation mit einem Diarain der Formel IV

Diese genannten Reaktionen sind dem Fachmann durchaus
geläufig und müssen daher hier ebenfalls nicht näher erläutert werden.
Die in Wasser und organischen Lösungsmitteln, z.B. den aprotischen Lösungsmitteln (Dimethylformamid, Dimethylacetamid,
Dimethylsulfoxid, Dimethylsulfon), in Dioxan, Alkoholen und Ketonen schwer löslichen Farbstoffe eignen
sich ausgezeichnet zum Färben von Kunststoffmassen, worunter
lösungsmittelfreie und lösungsmittelhaltige Massen aus Kunststoffen oder Kunstharzen verstanden
werden (in Anstrichfarben auf öliger oder wässriger Grundlage, in Lacken verschiedener Art, zum Spinnfärben
von Viscose oder Celluloseacetat, zum Pigmentieren von Polyäthylen," Polystyrol, Polyvinylchlorid, Kautschuk
und Kunstleder). Sie können auch in Druckfarben für das graphische Gewerbe, für die Papiermassefärbung, für
die Beschichtung von Textilien, oder für den Pigmentdruck Verwendung finden.
Die erhaltenen Färbungen zeichnen sich durch ihre hervorragende Hitze-, Licht- und Wetterechtheit,
Chemikalienbeständigkeit, insbesondere SO3- und Alkalibeständigkeit,
ihre Migrier-, Ausblüh-, üeberlackier- und Lösungsmittelechtheit, ihre Farbstärke und die sehr
guten applikätorischen Eigenschaften, z.B. Flockulationsechtheit, Kristallisierechtheit, Dispergierbarkeit und
Deckkraft aus.
Durch eine Nachbehandlung der Rohpigmente in organischen Lösungsmitteln bei erhöhten Temperaturen, z.B. 110°-2000C
können die Pigmenteigenschaften oft weiter verbessert werden. Als organische Lösungsmittel (in denen die Pigmente
selbst aber nicht gelöst werden) kommen z.B.

Chlorbenzol(Gemisch), Nitrobenzol, Dimethylformamid,
Eisessig, Aethylenglykol oder Chinolin in Betracht.
Viele der neuen Verbindungen, insbesondere diejenigen der Formel I d, sind auch ausgezeichnete Dispersionsfarbstoffe;
für diesen Verwendungszweck werden sie jedoch vorzugsweise in Färbepräparate übergeführt.
Die Verarbeitung dieser neuen Verbindungen zu Färbepräparaten erfolgt auf allgemein bekannte Weise, z.B.
durch Mahlen in Gegenwart von Dispergier- und/oder
Füllmitteln. Mit den gegebenenfalls im Vakuum oder durch Zerstäuben getrockneten Präparaten kann man,
durch Zugabe von mehr oder weniger Wasser, in sogenannter langer oder kurzer Flotte färben, klotzen
oder bedrucken. Die Farbstoffe ziehen aus wässriger Suspension ausgezeichnet auf Textilmaterial aus vollsynthetischen
oder halbsynthetischen, hydrophoben, hochmolekularen organischen Stoffen auf. Besonders
geeignet sind sie zum Färben oder Bedrucken von Textilmaterial aus linearen, aromatischen Polyestern
sowie aus Cellulose-2 1/2-acetat, Cellulosetriacetat
und synthetischen Polyamiden.
Man färbt oder bedruckt nach an sich bekannten, z.B. dem in der französischen Patentschrift No. 1.445.371
beschriebenen Verfahren.
Die erhaltenen Färbungen besitzen gute Allgemeinechtheiten i hervorzuheben sind die Lichtechtheit, die
Thermofixier-*, Sublimier- und Plissierechtheit. Sie
sind hervorragend nassecht, z.B. Wasser-, Meerwasser-, Wasch- und Schweissecht, Lösungsiaittelecht, insbesondere
Trockenreinigungsecht, Schmälzmittel-, Reib-,

Ueberfärbe-, Ozon-, Rauchgas- und Chlorecht; sie sind äusserst beständig gegen die Einwirkung der verschiedenen
Permanent-Pressverfahren und der sogenannten 11 Soi 1-Release " -Ausrüstungen.
In den folgenden Beispielen bedeuten, falls nicht anders präzisiert, die Teile Gewichtsteile und die
Prozente Gewichtsprozente. Die Temperaturen sind in Celsiusgraden angegeben.

Beispiel 1
24,2 Teile 3-Amino-6-chlor-benzo-[b]-thiophen-2-carbonsäuremethylester
werden 1 Stunde in 35 Teilen 30 %-iger Salzsäure und 100 Teilen Wasser gerührt und
nach Zugabe von 150 Teilen Eis mit 26 Volumenteilen 4n wässriger Natriumnitritlösung diazotiert. Man rührt
eine weitere Stunde, versetzt ipit einer geringen Menge Amidosulfönsäure, filtriert und stellt mit 60 Volumenteilen
50 %-iger, wässriger Natriumacetatlösung auf pH 3,6. Zur Kupplung fügt man unter gutem Rühren langsam
eine Lösung von 32 Teilen 5-(2'-Hydroxy-3'-naphthoylamino)-benζimidazolon
in 200 Teilen Wasser und 14 Volumenteilen 30-prozentiger Natronlauge bei 0 bis 5° zu. Man
rührt 1 Stunde bei 1O bis 5° und 1 Stunde bei 80°, filtriert ab, wäscht mit Wasser salzfrei und trocknet
den Rückstand bei ca. 80° im Vakuum. Man erhält so das Pigment der Formel

45,5 Teile der trockenen Monoazocarbonsaure der Formel

erhalten durch Kupplung von diazotiertem 3-Amino-6-chlorbenzo-[b]"thiophen-2-carbonsäureäthylester
und 2-Hydroxynapthalin-3-carbonsäure werden in 500 Teilen Nitrobenzol,
1 Teil Dimethylformamid und 18 Teilen Thionylchlorid unter Rühren 6 Stunden auf 105-110° erhitzt. Dann wird
auf 70-80° abgekühlt und das überschüssige Thionylchlorid zusammen mit wenig Nitrobenzol, im Vakuum abdestilliert.
Der Rückstand wird mit 5,4 Teilen para-Phenylendiamin versetzt und 15 Stunden unter Rühren auf 105-110° erhitzt,
wobei sich das Pigment der Formel

in feinkristalliner Form abscheidet. Es wird noch heiss filtriert, mit heissem Nitrobenzol, dann mit Methanol
und schliesslich mit Wasser gewaschen und im Vakuum bei ca. 80° getrocknet. Es gibt, nach einer praxisüblichen
Behandlung, in Kunststoffen, z.B. Polyvinylchlorid Färbungen blauvioletter Nuance.
Setzt man an Stelle der 45,5 Teile der Monoazocarbonsäure der Formel a 46,6 Teile der Verbindung der Formel

werden 1 Stunde in 35 Teilen 30 %-iger Salzsäure und 100 Teilen Wasser gerührt, und nach Zugabe
von 150 Teilen Eis mit 26 Volumenteilen 4n-wässriger Natriumnitritlösung diazotiert. Man rührt eine weitere
Stunde, versetzt mit einer geringen Menge Amidosulfonsäure und filtriert von eventuell vorhandenen Unreinheiten ab.
Zur Kupplung lässt man obige Dxazoniumsalzlösung langsam
in eine Suspension von 23,3 Teilen 5-Acetoacetylaminobenzimidazolon
(erhalten durch Auflösen in 250 Teilen
Wasser und 20 Volumenteilen 30 %-iger Natronlauge und Versetzen mit 20 Volumenteilen 50 %-iger Essigsäure)
bei 0 bis +5° einfliessen. Man rührt 1 Stunde bei 0 bis +5°, 1 Stunde bei 80°, filtriert ab, wäscht mit
Wasser salzfrei und trocknet den Rückstand bei ca. 30° im Vakuum. Man erhält so das Pigment der Formel

Lösung von 15 Teilen 3-Cyan-4-methyl-6-hydroxypyridon in 200 Teilen Wasser und 10 Volumenteilen 30 %-iger
Natronlauge bei 0 bis 5° einfliessen. Man rührt 1 Stunde bei 0 bis 5° noch 1 Stunde bei 80°, filtriert ab,
wäscht mit Wasser salzfrei und trocknet den Rückstand bei ca. 80° im Vakuum. Man erhält so das Pigment der

Zur Verbesserung der Echtheiten und der applikatorischen Eigenschaften,insbesondere des rheologischen Verhaltens
und der Dispergierbarkeit kann das Pigment auf bekannte Weise einer Lösungsmittelbehandlung, z.B. mit Dimethylformamid,
unterzogen werden.

Beispiel 33
12,6 Teile 3-Amino-5-nitro~benzo-[b]-thiophen-2-carbonsäuremethylester
werden im Laufe von 20 Minuten bei 0° in kleinen Portionen in 78,6 Teilen Nitrosylschwefeisäure
(aus 75 Teilen konzentrierter Schwefelsäure und 3,6 Teilen Natriumnitrat) eingetragen, 3 Stunden bei
gerührt, dann auf 130 Teile Eis ausgeladen, mit einer geringen Menge Amidosulfonsäure versetzt, filtriert
und mit 50 %iger wässriger Natriumacetatlösung auf pH 3,3 gestellt.
Zur Kupplung lässt man unter gutem Rühren langsam eine
Lösung von 17,9 Teilen 2-Hydroxy-3-naphthoesäure-2',4 '-dimethoxy-5'-chlorphenylamid
in 200 Teilen Wasser und 7 Volumenteilen 30 %iger Natronlauge bei 0 bis 5° einf Hessen.
Man rührt eine Stunde bei 0 bis 5° und eine Stunde bei 80°, filtriert ab, wäscht mit Wasser salzfrei und
trocknet den Rückstand bei ca. 80° im Vakuum. Man erhält so das Pigment der Formel
das Kunststoffe in rot-violetten Tönen färbt.

Beispiel 34
28,1 Teile der trockenen Monoazocarbonsäure der Formel
erhalten durch
Kupplung von diazotierten! 3-Amxno-6-chlor-[b]-thiophen-2-carbonsäure
(erhalten z.B. analog J.Org.Chem. 38, 14, 1973, 2451) und 2-Hydroxy-3-naphthoesäure-2',4'-dimethoxy-5'-chlorphenylamid
werden in 300 Teilen Nitrobenzol und 9 Teilen Thionylchlorid unter Rühren 2 1/2

Durch mehrstündiges Einleiten von gasförmigem Ammoniak bei 105-110° scheidet sich das Pigment der Formel
CONH
in feinkristalliner Form ab. Es wird noch heiss filtriert, mit heissem Nitrobenzol, dann mit Methanol
und mit Wasser gewaschen und im Vakuum bei ca. 80° getrocknet.
Es gibt nach einer praxisüblichen Feinmahlung in Kunststoffen,
z.B. Polyvinylchlorid/Färbungen rotvioletter
Nuance.
Leitet man an Stelle von Ammoniak Methylamin oder Dimethylamin
ein, erhält man das entsprechende Methyl-, bzw. Dimethylamid, das sehr ähnliche färberische Eigenschaften
aufweist.
Ersetzt man den gasförmigen Ammoniak durch 5 Teile Anilin, so erhält man ebenfalls ein Pigment mit
ähnlichen färberischen Eigenschaften.'

Beispiel 35
24,2 Teile S-Amino-o-chlor-benzo-[b]-thiophen-2-carbonsäuremethylester
werden 1 Stunde in 35 Teilen 30 %-iger Salzsäure und 100 Teilen Wasser gerührt und nach Zugabe
von 150 Teilen Eis mit 26 Volumenteilen 4n-wässriger Natriumnitritlösung diazotiert. Man rührt eine weitere
Stunde, versetzt mit einer geringen Menge Amidosulfonsäure, filtriert und stellt mit 60 Volumenteilen

ANWENDUNGSBEISPIEL 1
Zu einer Basismischung aus
63 Teilen Polyvinylchlorid-Emulsion, 32 Teilen Dioctylphthalat,
3 Teilen handelsüblichem Epoxyweichmacher,
1,5 Teilen Stabilisator (Barium-Cadmium-Stearat-Gemisch,
ebenfalls handelsüblich) und
0,5 Teilen eines Chelators (handelsüblich)
werden 0,5 Teile des Pigments gemäss Beispiel 1 und 5 Teile Txtandioxidpigment gegeben und innig miteinander
vermischt.
Die Mischung wird in einem auf 160°C geheizten Mischwalzwerk mit Friktionsrollen (die eine Walze mit 20,
die.andere mit 25 Umdrehungen in der Minute) zur besseren Pigmentverteilung während 8 Minuten gewalzt und hierauf
die erhaltene Folie von 0,3 mm, die eine braunstichigrote Nuance aufweist, abgezogen.
Die Färbung ist sehr gut licht- und migrationsecht, sowie hitzebständig.

7 Teile des nach Beispiel 3^ hergestellten Farbstoffs
werden mit 4 Teilen dinaphthylmethandxsulfonsaurem Natrium, 4 Teilen Katriumcetylsulfat und 5 Teilen
wasserfreiem Natriumsulfat in einer Kugelmühle 48 Stunden zu einem feinen Pulver gemahlen.
1 Teil des so erharltenen Färbepräparats wird mit wenig Wasser angeteigt und die erhaltene Suspension
durch ein Sieb einem 3 Teile Natriumlaurylsulfat in 4000 Teilen Wasser enthaltenden Färbebad zugesetzt.
Das Flottenverhältnis beträgt 1:40. Man gibt nun 100 Teile gereinigtes Polyesterfasermaterial bei 40-50°
in das Bad, gibt 20 Teile eines chlorierten Benzols in Wasser emulgiert zu, erwärmt das Bad langsam auf
100° und färbt 1-2 Stunden bei 95-100°. Die gelbstichig rot gefärbten Fasern werden gewaschen, geseift,
erneut gewaschen und getrocknet. Die egale Färbung ist ausgezeichnet licht-, überfärbe-, wasch-, wasser-,
meerwasser-, schweiss-, sublimier-, rauchgas-, thermofixier-, plissier- und permanent-pressecht.
