Durch diese große Entfernung ist es für den Windenfahrer sehr schwer, die Bedingungen am Startplatz exakt einzuschätzen und in Notfällen adäquat zu reagieren. Alle darin aufgeführten Kriterien sind einzuhalten und sinngemäß auch auf ein Umlenkrollensystem anzuwenden. Erwähnt seien hier auszugsweise, dass:
- 1. beim Schleppbetrieb eine Rundumleuchte einzuschalten ist,
- 2. in entsprechenden Gefahrensituationen das Schleppseil zu kappen ist und
- 3. der Windenfahrer beim Erreichen eines Schleppseilwinkels von etwa 70 Grad die Zugkraft der Winde reduzieren muss, damit der Pilot leichter ausklinken kann.

- 1. von der Winde aus eine vorgeschriebene Rundumleuchte an der Umlenkrolle ein- und ausgeschaltet werden,
- 2. von der Winde aus an der Umlenkrolle in Notsituationen gekappt werden und
- 3. dem Windenfahrer ein akustisches Signal gesendet werden, wenn der Seilwinkel von 70 Grad erreicht ist.
