Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen aus zwei Werkstoffen zusammengesetzten Dichtstreifen gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Patentanspruchs.
Ein derartiger Dichtstreifen ist aus der CH-PS 3 77 517 bereits bekannt. Das Stützprofil ist dabei als flacher Streifen ausgebildet, welcher auf seinen beiden Breitseiten je einen Streifen von Dichtungswerkstoff aufweist. Das Stützprofil kann jedoch bei dieser Ausbildung nicht verhindern, daß unter Druck, beispielsweise unter dem Winddruck auf eine Scheibe, der Dichtungswerkstoff gegebenenfalls vollständig aus dem Dichtungsspalt herausgepreßt werden kann. Insbesondere bei schwankenden Belastungen besteht die Gefahr, daß nach und nach der weiche Dichtungsstoff ausgequetscht wird, so daß nach einer gewissen Zeit die gewünschte Verbindung mit der abzudichtenden Scheibe od. dgl. nachläßt.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde einen Dichtstreifen der eingangs erwähnten Art zu schaffen, dessen Abdichteigenschaften auch bei hohen bzw. wechselnden Anpreßdrücken erhalfen bleiben, indem insbesondere ein Ausquetschen des Dichtungswerkstoffes vermieden wird.
Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist im kennzeichnenden Teil des Patentanspruchs wiedergegeben.
Ein solcher Dichtstreifen ergibt auch bei hohen und
ίο auch wechselnden Anpreßdrücken eine sichere Abdichtung, da ein Ausquetschen des Dichtungswerkstoffes seitlich des Stützprofiles nur dazu führt, daß der Dichtungswerkstoff in einen Bereich gedrängt wird, wo sich bereits Dichtungswerkstoff befindet, so daß sich in diesem Bereich dann entsprechend mehr Dichtungswerkstoff ansammelt. Das im Querschnitt kreisförmige Stützprofil hat dabei den Vorteil, daß auch bei Kippbewegungen der Glasscheiben eine gleichbleibend gute Abstützung vorhanden ist.
Durch den im Querschnitt rechteckig geformten Dichtungswerkstoff läßt sich vor allem mit den Breitseiten eine gute Abdichtwirkung erzielen, da das Stützprofil sehr gut Druck aufnehmen kann, quer zur Druckrichturig jedoch eine relativ große Menge von Dichtungswerkstoff zur Verfügung steht.
Nachstehend ist die Erfindung anhand der Zeichnung näher beschrieben, die einen Dichtstreifen zeigt, bei dem ein im Querschnitt kreisrundes Stützprofil in einen rechteckig geformten Dichtungswerkstoff eingebettet
Ein Dichtstreifen 1 besteht aus einem biegsamen und weitgehend druckfesten Stützprofil 2 und einem Dichtungswerkstoff 3 aus einem dauerzähelastischen und haftklebenden Werkstoff, z. B. Butylkautschuk.

Claims (1)

  1. Patentanspruch:
    Aus zwei Werkstoffen zusammengesetzter Dichtstreifen zum Abdichten von Scheiben, Fassadsnplatten od. dgl., der aus einem dauerzähelastisch bleibenden, aus haftklebendem Werkstoff, wie Kunstkautschuk, insbesondere Butylkautschuk, bestehenden Dichtungswerkstoff und einem in seiner Längsrichtung elastisch biegsamen, in Querrichtung zumindest unter üblicher Druckeinwirkung gegen Verformung widerstandsfähigen Stützprofil zusammengesetzt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Stützprofil (2) einen kreisförmiger. Querschnitt hat und in den rechteckig geformten Dichtungswerkstoff (3) eingebettet ist.
