Es ist bekannt, bicyclische Alkylborsäureester durch Umsetzung eines Diols, dessen Hydroxylgruppen
sich an Kohlenstoffatomen befinden, die voneinander getrennt sind, mit o-Borsäure oder
einer bei den Reaktionsbedingungen, insbesondere der Hydrolyse, o-Borsäure liefernden Substanz
herzustellen.
Ferner ist in der USA.-Patentschrift 2 994 713 ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Alkylenboratoalkylacrylaten
bzw. -methacrylaten beschrieben, bei dem eine Verbindung mit nur einer funktionellen
Gruppe, und zwar einer Hydroxylgruppe, mit einem Glykol und einer Borsäure umgesetzt wird.
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von cyclischen Aminoalkylmonoborsäureestern
der allgemeinen Formel

in der R eine Alkylengruppe mit 2 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen,
von denen 2 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatome eine mit den beiden Sauerstoffatomen verbundene
Kette bilden, bedeutet, Ri eine Alkylengruppe mit 2 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen, von denen 2 oder 3 Kohlenstoffatome
eine Kette bilden, darstellt und R> und Rs ein Wasserstoffatom und/oder eine Alkyigruppe
mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man o- oder m-Borsäure
oder Boroxyd, ein Glykol der allgemeinen Formel HO — R — OH und einen Aminoalkohol
der allgemeinen Formel

besitzen, in stöchiornetrischen Mengen in Gegenwart eines organischen Lösungsmittels für azeotrope
Destillation unter Rückfluß erhitzt und anschließend das gebildete Reaktionswasser durch azeotrope
Destillation entfernt.
Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren wird zum Unterschied gegenüber den genannten bekannten
Verfahren neben dem betreffenden Glykol und der
Borverbindung eine Reaktionskomponente verwendet, die zwei funktioneile Gruppen, und zwar
eine Hydroxylgruppe und eine Aminogruppe, enthält. Es war nicht vorhersehbar, an welcher funktionellen
Gruppe die Umsetzung mit der Borsäure Verfahren zur Herstellung von cyclischen
Aminoalkylmonoborsäureestern

stattfinden wird. Wie aus den hohen Ausbeuten des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens hervorgeht, erfolgt
die Reaktion so gut wie ausschließlich mit der Hydroxylgruppe des Aminoalkohole, während die
Aminogruppe endständig bleibt. Dieser Reaktionsverlauf ist überraschend; und war nicht ohne weiteres
zu erwarten.
Das organische Lösungsmittel für die azeotrope
Destillation wird zweckmäßigerweise im Überschuß angewendet, vorzugsweise in einer Menge von 1 bis
5 oder auch mehr Volumina je Volumen der Reaktionspartner. Geeignete Lösungsmittel sind beispielsweise
Benzol, n-Heptan, Toluol, aliphatisches Naphtha und Xylol.
Als zu verwendende Aminoalkohole eignen sich
z. R. 2-Aminoäthanol, 3-Aminopropanol, 1-Amino-2-propanol,
l-Amino-^-methyW-propanol, 1-Amino-2-butanol,
N-Propyl-2-aminoäthanoL N-(2-Äthyl·-
hexyl)-3-aminopropanol, N-Methyl-1 -amino-2-methyl^-propanol,
N-Octadecyl^-aminoäthanoL N-Isopropylrl-amino-2-propanol,
N,N-Dimethyl-2-aminoäthanol, N,N - Diisopropyl -1 - amino - 2 - propanol,
N5N- Di-(2-äthylhexyl) -2- arninoäthynol, N5N-Di-

n-amyl-3-aminopropanol, N,N-Di-n-butyl-3-aminopropanol,
N,N-Diäthyl-l-amino-2-methyl-2-propanol, Ν,Ν - Di - η - hexyl -1 - amino - 2 - propanol und
N,N-Di-n-propyl-l-amino-2-butanol.
Als Glykole eignen sich beispielsweise 1,2-Butandiol,
1,3-Butandiol, 1,4-Butandiol, 2,3-Butandiol, 1,2-Propandiol, 1,3-Propandiol, cis-l,4-Buten-2-diol,
1,2-Äthandiol, 2-Methyl-2,4-pentändiol, 2,2-Dimethyl-l,3-butandiol,
2-Äthyl-l,3-hexandiol, 2-Methyl-2-äthyl-l,3-propandiol.
Die Verfahrensprodukte eignen sich für verschiedene Zwecke, insbesondere als Polyadduktbildner
für Epoxyharze und zur Herstellung verschiedener Harzklebstoffe und Überzugsmassen.
Ferner lassen sie sich in Schmierölen zur Vermeidung der Verharzung verwenden oder als Brennstoffzusätze
zur Verbesserung des Wirkungsgrades von Verbrennungsmotoren sowie als Korrosionsinhibitoren
für hydraulische Flüssigkeiten und als Ausgangsstoffe zur Herstellung von anderen Organoborverbindungen.
Die folgenden Beispiele erläutern das erfindungsgemäße
Verfahren:
Eine Mischung von 103,2 g (1 Mol) N,N-Dimethyl-l-amino-2-propanol,
61,84 g (1 Mol) Borsäure und 90,12 g (1 Mol) 2,3-Butandiol wurde in einen Kolben, der 400 ecm Benzol enthielt, gegeben;
das Ganze wurde 8 bis 10 Stunden unter Rückfluß und Rühren erhitzt und dann die theoretische Wassermenge
von 54 ecm durch azeotrope Destillation entfernt. Anschließend wurde das überschüssige
Benzol abdestilliert und hierauf im Vakuum destilliert. Es wurden 149,4 g (74,3% der Theorie) 2-(/?-Dimethylaminoisopropoxy)
- 4,5 - dimethyl -1,3,2 - dioxaborolan vom Kp.8,s 131 bis 132°C, nl4S = 1,452,
erhalten.
azeotrope Destillation ausgetrieben. Dann wurde das überschüssige Benzol abdestilliert und anschließend
der Rückstand im Vakuum destilliert. Es wurden 245,9 g (65,7% der Theorie) 2-(/S-Dimethylaminoäthoxy-4-methyl-1,3,2-dioxaborinan
vom Kp.7_2,5 930C, nl3>5 = 1,438, erhalten.
Eine Mischung von 173,3 g (1 Mol) N,N-Dibutyl-2-aminoäthanol,
61,84 g (1 Mol) Borsäure und 90,1 g (1 Mol) 1,3-Butandiol wurde in einen Kolben, der
500 ecm aliphatisches Naphtha enthielt, gegeben,
das Ganze wurde unter Rückfluß und Rühren " 2 Stunden erhitzt, die theoretische Wassermenge
von 54 ecm durch azeotrope Destillation entfernt und das überschüssige Naphtha (Siedebereich 121
bis 148 0C) abdestilliert. Durch Destillation des Rückstandes wurden 249,5 g (92% der Theorie)
2-(/S-Di-n-butylaminoäthoxy)-4-methyl-l,3,2-dtoxyborinan
vom Kp.0,4-0,55 105 bis HO0C, n% = 1,446,
erhalten.

Eine Mischung von 145,2 g (1 Mol) N,N-Diisopropyl-2-aminoäthanol,
61,84 g (1 Mol) Borsäure und 62,1 g (1 Mol) 1,2-Äthandiol wurde in einen Kolben, der 500 ecm Benzol enthielt, gegeben, das
Ganze wurde 12 Stunden unter Rückfluß und Rühren erhitzt und darin die theoretische Wassermenge
von 54 ecm durch azeotrope Destillation ausgetrieben. Anschließend wurde das überschüssige
Benzol entfernt und .der Rückstand destilliert. Es Wurden 158,2g (73,5% der Theorie) 2-(/?-Diisopropylaminoäthoxy)
- 1,3,2 - dioxaborolan vom Kp.3,5-4,1 123°C, nS = 1,467, erhalten.

Eine Mischung von 178 g (2 Mol) N,N-Dimethyl-2-aminoäthanol,
7Ög"(l MdI) B^ortrioxyd und 180 g
(2 Mol) 1,3-Butandibl wurde in einen Kolben, der 500 ecm Benzol en.thielt, gegeben, das Ganze unter
Rückfluß und Rühren 6 Stunden erhitzt und hierauf ;die theoretisch^ Wasserme'nge ' von 54 ecm durch
Eine Mischung von 98 g (1,1 Mol) N,N-Dimethyl-2-äthanol,
61,84 g (IMbI) Borsäure und 118,2 g (1 Mol) 2-Methyl-2,4-pentandiol wühle in einen
Kolben, der 400 ecm Benzol enthielt, gegeben; das Ganze wurde unter Rückfluß und Rühren 7 Stunden
erhitzt, dann die theoretische Wassermenge von 54 ecm durch azeotrope Destillation entfernt und
hierauf das überschüssige Benzol abdestilliert. Durch Destillation des Rückstandes wurden 174,2 g (81%
der Theorie) 2-(^-Dimethylaminoäthoxy)-4,4,6-trimethyl-l,3,2-dioxaborinan
vom Kp.0,10-0,1.3 530C,
n'o = 1,434, erhalten.
Eine Mischung von 86,65 g (0,5 Mol) N5N-Dibutyl-2-aminoäthanol,
30,92 g (0,5 Mol) Borsäure und 59,09 g (0;5 Mol) 2-Methyl-2,4-pentandiol wurde
in einen' Kolben, der 450 ecm Toluol enthielt, gegeben
; das Ganze wurde unter Rückfluß und' Rühren 4 Stunden erhitzt, dann die theoretische Wassermenge
von 27 ecm durch azeotrope Destillation abgetrieben
und hierauf das überschüssige Toluol abdestilliert. Durch Destillation des Rückstands
wurden 145,8 g (97,5% der Theorie) 2-(jÖ-Di-n-butylaminoäthoxy)
- 4,4,6 - trimethyl -1,3,2 - dioxaborinan vom Kp.o,2:j 106 bis 1070C, nf = 1,441, erhalten.

Eine Mischung von 117,2 g (1 Mol) N,'N-Diäthyl-2-aminoäthanol,
118,1 g (1 Mol) Hexylenglykol und 61,84 g (1 Mol) Borsäure wurde in einen Kolben,
.der 400 ecm Toluol enthielt, gegeben, die Mischung
gerührt, unter Rückfluß 10,25 Stunden erhitzt und das gebildete Reaktionswasser (54 ecm = 100%)
azeotrop abdestiÜiert; dann wurde das Toluol entfernt und hierauf der Rückstand destilliert. Es
wurden 222 g (91,3% der Theorie) 2-(/J-Diäthylamino-
äthoxy) - 4,4,6 - trimethyl -1,3,2 - dioxaborinan vom
Kp.a) 147 bis 149°C, n%·3 = 1,436, erhalten.
Eine Mischung von 150,2 g (2 Mol) 3-Aminopropanol, 69,84 g (1 Mol) Bortrioxyd und 180,2 g
(2 Mol) 1,3-Butandiol wurde in einem Kolben zusammen
mit 300 ecm Benzol unter Rückfluß und Rühren 12 bis 14 Stunden erhitzt, dann wurden
52,5 ecm des Reaktionswassers, das sind 97% der theoretischen Menge, azeotrop abdestilliert. Hierauf
wurde das überschüssige Benzol abdestilliert; man erhielt als weißen Rückstand 342 g (99% der Theorie)
2 - (γ - Aminopropoxy) - 4 - methyl -1,3,2 - dioxaborinan
vom F. 96 bis 12O0C,
Claims (1)
- Patentanspruch:Verfahren zur Herstellung von cyclischen Aminoalkylmonoborsäureestern der allgemeinen Formel1520B-O-R1-NStoffatomen, von denen 2 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatome eine mit den beiden Sauerstoffatomen verbundene Kette bilden, bedeutet, Ri eine Alkylengruppe mit 2 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen, von denen 2 bis 3 Kohlenstoffatome eine .Kette bilden, darstellt und R-2 und Rs ein Wasserstoffatom und/oder eine Alkylengruppe mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man ortho- oder meta-Borsäure oder Boroxyd, ein Glykol der allgemeinen Formel HO — R — OH und einen Aminoalkohol der allgemeinen FormelHO —wobei R, Ri, Ra und R3 die oben angegebene Bedeutung besitzen, in stöchiometrischen Mengen in Gegenwart eines organischen Lösungsmittels für azeotrope Destillation unter Rückfluß erhitzt und anschließend das gebildete Reaktionswasser durch azeotrope Destillation entfernt.in der R eine Alkylengruppe mit 2 bis 20 Kohlen-In Betracht gezogene Druckschriften:
