Been around for quite some time Garden ponds with biological water treatment built as Swimming or bathing pond can be used. The edge or bank areas such ponds are common planted and serve as "regeneration zones". At a garden pond is a permanent entry of plant components, e.g. Blossoms, Leaves, grasses etc., as well as animal components such as feathers, flying insects etc., inevitable. Such contamination already occurs relatively a short time and decompose in the pond, causing over-fertilization and lead to silting up of the pond can. If the garden pond is used as a swimming or bathing pond, the "Silting fabrics" whirled up in the bathing establishment. The consequence is one cloudy, water contaminated with suspended matter and algae.

- - The water quality of a pond can be improved by providing an inflow and outflow and by constantly flowing fresh water through the pond. However, this is only possible in a few cases, since there is usually no flowing water available that has a sufficiently good biological water quality and a water temperature suitable for bathing ponds.
- - Furthermore, filtering pond water with special filters was considered, which, however, entails ongoing, not inconsiderable maintenance costs and is more or less successful depending on the pond size. However, the bottom of the pond must also be cleaned periodically. Contamination of the surface water remains until it sinks to the bottom.
- - An improvement in the water quality is fundamentally also possible through an "artificial oxygen entry" via oxygen cartridges. The water quality can be significantly improved by means of oxygen cartridges. However, the oxygen cartridges are very expensive. For the rest, this does not solve the problem of the constant entry of dirt and the silting problem. Here too, basic cleaning is required at regular intervals.
- - Various methods are also known in which the water is passed through biotope areas and filters. Here, cleaning is achieved with a high water throughput. Disadvantages here are the very high energy input and furthermore that surface contamination is only detected after it has dropped and then only partially.
- - A water treatment process is also possible bar, at which surface water is sucked out of the primary pond and pumped into an intermediate pool with leaf trap and from there to a filter shaft. The surface water suction only detects soiling in the "vicinity" of the intermediate basin. For a better surface water cleaning, a high pumping power and therefore a high energy consumption is required. Furthermore, periodic cleaning of the filter system provided in the filter shaft is necessary. Aspirated microorganisms are lost in the filter system. Information on such a pond system offered by the company "BioNova Germany" is available at http://www.bionova.de.
- - Information on "combinations" of the above water treatment processes is available at http://www.k-pool.com. However, such systems are also associated with high maintenance costs. Furthermore, no systematic surface water cleaning is provided here, and regular maintenance work is required. Another supplier works with large amounts of zeolite, which is sold under the name "aqua superton filter granulate" to bind the nutrients in the water. Regular floor cleaning is also required here.
In summary it can be stated that with the known cleaning methods high technological initial investment as well as a high level of care and maintenance are required.
The object of the invention is a To create a pond system with improved water treatment.
This task is due to the characteristics of claim 1 solved. Advantageous refinements and developments of the invention are the subclaims refer to.
The invention is a pond based out of a primary pond and a secondary pond for cleaning primary pond water exists, with the primary pond and the secondary pond through an "overflow device" are interconnected. There is also a device for generation of surface waves in the primary pond intended. Through the surface waves become close to the surface Contamination to the overflow transported where they "slosh" out of the primary pond into the secondary pond. Depending on the size and type of the impurities, they are at the overflow or in the secondary pond separated or degraded from the water.
- 1. More than 90% of the water-polluting entries are vegetable and animal entries which have a lower specific weight than water (1 kg / liter). Almost all of these contaminants, such as withered flowers, leaves, bird feathers, etc., are introduced into the pond via the air or wind or, in the case of flying insects or seeds, are carried in by their own movement and initially float on the water surface.
- 2. Depending on the type of contamination, contaminants remain on the water surface for several hours to several days until they are soaked up with water that they sink. Once the pollution has sunk, it can only be detected inadequately or not at all with conventional methods and is only insufficiently broken down by microorganisms due to the excess supply of contaminants. The water is therefore polluted by turbidity and algae. Purifying the water is associated with high technical expenditure and high operating costs.
- 3. The less nutrient the water is, the more intensely existing nutrients are used by the microorganisms. The result is clear, low-particulate water.
- 4. Concentric waves are generated by means of a spring whose water hits the water surface from a sufficient height. These waves slowly drive particles floating on the water surface away from the source.
Through a source or in general spoken by a "wave generator" can be contaminated with very low operating costs and with very little maintenance the primary pond be transported away.
Preferably the source is that a sufficient "fall height" has at one end of the primary pond arranged, essentially "opposite" the overflow.
The overflow located at the other end is a horizontally sufficiently wide or long element and forms an "artificial Shore section of the "primary pond. The waves of the surface waves ensure that the on the water surface floating contaminants that make up over 90% of total entry make up for overflow float. There the substances are caught by a developing flow and over the overflow in the lower secondary pond rinsed. At the overflow thus finds a "spillover" of the surface waves in the secondary pond instead of.
On the side of the secondary pond is below the overflow a screening device, e.g. a simple sieve basket, arranged. The sieve basket takes the coarser ones over the overflow washed up substances.
Larger impurities, such as leaves, which do not overcome the overflow due to their draft, because they remain on the side of the primary pond before the overflow, can occasionally be pushed into the sieve basket with a slide or another suitable tool. The strainer basket can be removed and emptied from time to time, which also prevents over-fertilization in the secondary pond by entering the swimming pond.
After a further development of the invention is in the secondary pond a so-called seepage filter is provided. The basic filter is there from several layers of gravel and sand and can be through a concrete ring or a stainless steel tube his. On the "floor" or close to the ground of the secondary pond suction lines are provided, which are connected to a circulation pump and a return line with the source of the primary pond are connected. about the secondary pond water is filtered and the percolating filter subsequently in the primary pond pumped back, which closes the "cleaning cycle".
Through the percolation filter in the secondary pond water spared microorganisms. Without a seepage filter, a large part of the Microorganisms damaged or damaged by pump mechanics during pump operation killed. Dead microorganisms would for the Bathing and swimming pond an undesirable burden on the bathing water represent. Another advantage of the base filter is in that the suction area of the pump can no longer become clogged and one secondary maintenance the pump is unnecessary.
Die laufenden Betriebskosten sind äußerst gering und belaufen sich im Jahresdurchschnitt auf ca. fünf Betriebsstunden pro Tag.Experiments have shown that already a daily The pump will run for about one to two hours when there is no wind and a consistent Operation with strong air movements to maintain a good water quality suffice. The running operating costs are extremely low and amount to to an annual average of approximately five Operating hours per day.
Due to the walkability of the fortified Bottom of the swimming and Swimming pond, which has a maximum water depth of 150 cm there the few sunken substances whirled up and through the Swimming on the edge of the pond shipped where they don't interfere, or they sometimes become an overflow rinsed.
Furthermore, the water of the secondary pond becomes Level control of the swimming and bathing ponds used during pumping.
