Abstract
Μία πολυσταθής διάταξη υγρών κρυστάλλων η οποία έχει μόρια υγρών κρυστάλλων σε μία ή περισσότερες κοιλότητες, όπου σχηματίζεται τουλάχιστον μία περιοχή υγρών κρυστάλλων υψηλής παραμορφώσεως (100, 110) σε κάθε κοιλότητα, η οποία περιοχή παραμορφώσεως (100, 110) μπορεί να μετάγεται μεταξύ τουλάχιστον δύο ευσταθών καταστάσεων κατά την εφαρμογή ενός ηλεκτρικού πεδίου, όπου η διάταξη είναι τέτοια ώστε τουλάχιστον μία από τις ευσταθείς καταστάσεις να μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ως ανακλαστικός τρόπος λειτουργίας.
