Description
互いに対向して備えられる第1電極基板及び第2電極基板;及び
上記第1電極基板と上記第2電極基板との間に備えられ、液体物質及び上記液体物質を2つ以上の空間に区画する隔壁パターンを含む液体収容層を含み、
上記隔壁パターンの少なくとも一部は、隣り合う空間を連結する通路領域を含むものである、透過度可変フィルムを提供する。
<実施例1>
PET基材上にスパッタリング工程でITOを全面に蒸着した後、UV硬化樹脂を上記ITO上に30μmの厚さでコーティングした。20μmの幅を有する通路領域が含まれたハニカムパターン状のフォトマスクを用いて上記UV硬化樹脂上に位置させ、紫外線を用いて440mJ/cm2の露光量で照射した後、未硬化の部分を有機剥離液を用いた現像工程を通じて除去して、第1電極基板及び上記第1電極基板上に30μmの厚さを有する隔壁パターンを製造した。製造された通路領域の厚さは、隔壁パターンの厚さと同様に30μmであった。上記通路領域は、ハニカムパターンを構成する六角形の互いに向かい合う一対の縁領域にそれぞれ形成し、上記通路領域の形態は、下記図2及び図3の通りである。上記ITOに接して備えられる上記隔壁パターンの一面の水平断面積全体を基準に、上記通路領域が備えられる領域の面積は、約2%であった。
粘度が250cpsであるカーボンブラックを使用したことを除き、実施例1と同様に製造した。
PET基材上にスパッタリング工程でITOを全面に蒸着した後、UV硬化樹脂を上記ITO上に30μmの厚さでコーティングした。20μmの幅を有する通路領域が含まれたハニカムパターン状のフォトマスクを用いて上記UV硬化樹脂上に位置させ、紫外線を用いて880mJ/cm2の露光量で照射した後、未硬化の部分を有機剥離液を用いた現像工程を通じて除去して、第1電極基板及び上記第1電極基板上に30μmの厚さを有する隔壁パターンを製造した。図10は、隔壁パターンの一区画を撮影したSEM像である。上記通路領域は、ハニカムパターンを構成する六角形の互いに向かい合う一対の縁領域にそれぞれ形成し、上記通路領域の形態は、下記図2及び図9の通りである。製造された通路領域の厚さは5μmであり、上記ITOに接して備えられる上記隔壁パターンの一面の水平断面積全体を基準に、上記通路領域が備えられる領域の面積は、約1.3%であった。
ハニカムパターンを構成する六角形の互いに向かい合う3対の縁領域にそれぞれ通路領域を形成したことを除き、実施例3と同様に製造した。
通路領域が備えられていない隔壁パターンを使用したことを除き、実施例1と同様に製造した。
通路領域が備えられていない隔壁パターンを使用したことを除き、実施例2と同様に製造した。
実施例1及び2によって製造された透過度可変フィルムにおいて、隔壁パターンによって区画される空間の気泡発生の有無をカメラを用いて撮影し、これを図5及び図6に示す。
実施例3及び実施例4の透過度可変フィルムの製造過程において、現像工程を経た後、カーボンブラック注入過程の前の隔壁パターンをカメラを用いて撮影し、これを図10、図12及び図13に示す。

Claims (10)
- 互いに対向して備えられる第1電極基板及び第2電極基板、及び
前記第1電極基板と前記第2電極基板との間に備えられ、液体物質及び前記液体物質を2つ以上の空間に区画する隔壁パターンを含む液体収容層を含み、
前記隔壁パターンの少なくとも一部は、隣り合う空間を連結する通路領域を含むものであり、
前記通路領域の厚さは、前記隔壁パターンの厚さの0.05倍~0.95倍であり、
前記隔壁パターンの一面は、前記通路領域を含む全体面で前記第1電極基板に接し、
前記隔壁パターンの第1電極基板に接して備えられる一面に対向する他の一面は、前記通路領域を除く全体面で前記第2電極基板に接し、
前記隔壁パターンは、連続して連結された閉図形の縁構造を含み、
前記閉図形は六角形であり、前記通路領域は、前記六角形の互いに向かい合う少なくとも一対の縁領域に設けられている、透過度可変フィルム。 - 前記第1電極基板に接して備えられる前記隔壁パターンの一面の水平断面積全体を基準に、
前記通路領域が備えられる領域の面積は、0%超過30%以下である、請求項1に記載の透過度可変フィルム。 - 前記隔壁パターンの厚さは、5μm~50μmである、請求項1または2に記載の透過度可変フィルム。
- 前記通路領域の幅は、1μm~50μmである、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の透過度可変フィルム。
- 前記隔壁パターンのピッチ(Pitch)は、100μm~3,000μmである、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の透過度可変フィルム。
- 前記液体物質は、有色帯電粒子が分散した溶媒を含むものである、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の透過度可変フィルム。
- 前記有色帯電粒子は、金属粒子、無機質粒子、ポリマー粒子及びこれらの組み合わせのうち1種以上を含むものである、請求項6に記載の透過度可変フィルム。
- 前記液体物質の粘度は、1cps~1,000cpsである、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の透過度可変フィルム。
- 前記第1電極基板は、第1基材及び前記第1基材上に備えられる透明導電性酸化物層を含み、
前記第2電極基板は、第2基材及び前記第2基材上に備えられ、前記透明導電性酸化物層に対向して備えられる金属層、金属酸化物層、金属窒化物層、金属酸窒化物層又は金属合金層を含むものである、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の透過度可変フィルム。 - 請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の透過度可変フィルム及び前記透過度可変フィルムに電気的に連結された電圧印加装置を含むスマートウィンドウ。
