Abstract
Τεχνολογία με βάση τις συστοιχίες που διευκολύνει τη γρήγορη εύρεση του συσχετισμένου αριθμού γονιδιακών αντιγράφων και προφίλ έκφρασης πολύ μεγάλου αριθμού ανθρώπινων όγκων. Εκατοντάδες κυλινδρικές βιοψίες ιστού (διαμέτρου 0,6 mm) από μορφολογικά αντιπροσωπευτικές περιοχές των μεμονωμένων όγκων μπορούν να τοποθετηθούν σε συστοιχία σε ένα μόνο τμήμα παραφίνης. Οι διαδοχικές τομές τέτοιων συστοιχιών παρέχουν στόχους για παράλληλη in situ οπτικοποίηση και ποσοτικοποίηση των στόχων DNA, RNA ή πρωτεϊνών. Παραδείγματος χάριν, ενισχύσεις έξι τόπων (mybL2, erbB2, Cyclin-D1, myc, 17q23 και 20ql3) καθορίσθηκαν γρήγορα με φθορίζοντα in situ υβριδισμό από 372 δείγματα καρκίνου του μαστού μονιμοποιημένα σε αιθανόλη.
