Abstract
Un aparato para regular el flujo de fluido, que comprende:un sistema derivador implantable que tiene:una válvula ajustable para regular el flujo de fluido, un elemento sensor para medir una característica fisiológica de un paciente, y un accionador de válvula electromecánica adaptado para ajustar una resistencia de la válvula; y un controlador de sistema en comunicación eléctrica con el sistema derivador implantable y adaptado para recibir la característica fisiológica de un paciente y opera el accionador de válvula electromecánica para ajustar una resistencia de la válvula. El aparato de la reivindicación 1, que comprende adicionalmente un dispositivo de programación externo en comunicación con el controlador del sistema. El aparato de la reivindicación 2, en donde el dispositivo de programación externo incluye una pantalla para comunicar la característica fisiológica del paciente o un usuario. El aparato de la reivindicación 3, en donde el dispositivo de programación externo incluye un elemento de entrada de usuario, el dispositivo de programación externo se configura para comunicar una o más instrucciones al controlador del sistema basado en la entrada de usuario. El aparato de la reivindicación 1, en donde la válvula es una válvula de bola. El aparato de la reivindicación 1, en donde el accionador de válvula electromecánica comprende un resorte asociado operativamente con un mecanismo de configuración de presión.
