Description
本发明涉及基于至少两种不同的二羧酸的混合物、钼酸盐和至少两种不同的***或噻唑的混合物的新型防冻浓缩物。此外,本发明涉及含有所述防冻浓缩物的即可使用的含水冷却剂组合物。
用于例如汽车中内燃机的冷却剂循环的辐射器保护组合物通常含有亚烷基二醇,尤其是乙二醇或丙二醇,作为主要组分。为了用于冷却***中,用水稀释它们并除了被保护以防冷冻外,还应确保除热良好。然而,亚烷基二醇/水混合物在内燃机的操作温度下极具腐蚀性,且为此必须充分保护各种金属如铜、黄铜、铁、钢、铸铁(灰铸铁)、铅、锡、铬、锌、铝、镁及其合金,还有可能存在于冷却***中的焊接金属如锡焊料(软焊料)以防各种类型的腐蚀,例如点腐蚀、裂隙腐蚀、侵蚀或气蚀。现有技术公开了大量在该类冷却***中用作腐蚀抑制剂的单个化学物质。
基于乙二醇且含有羧酸、钼酸碱金属盐和***或噻唑的防冻剂公开于EP-B 552 988(1),DE-A 34 13 416(2),US-A 4 561 990(3)和DE-A195 47 499(4)中。
在现代内燃机中的操作条件表明现在冷却剂的防腐能力和尤其是高温稳定性就传热表面上的热应力、压力和流速以及材料的选择而言必须满足比过去要高得多的要求。已知的现有技术组合物在这方面并不令人满意。
本发明的目的是提供合适的防冻浓缩物,其不具有现有技术的缺点。
我们发现该目的通过基于亚烷基二醇或其衍生物的防冻浓缩物达到,该浓缩物含有
(a)基于浓缩物的总量为0.05-10,优选0.1-5%重量的至少两种各自具有3-16个碳原子的不同二羧酸的混合物,其呈碱金属盐、铵盐或取代铵盐的形式,
(b)基于浓缩物的总量为0.01-5,优选0.05-2%重量的一种或多种碱金属、铵或取代铵的钼酸盐和
(c)基于浓缩物的总量为0.01-3,优选0.05-1%重量的至少两种不同腐蚀抑制剂的混合物,所述腐蚀抑制剂选自烃-***和烃-噻唑。
本发明的防冻浓缩物可以在必须确保保护含水***以防冷冻(通常在0至-40℃,尤其是-20至-35℃的范围内)和同时防止含水容器的金属套管腐蚀时使用。尤其是在汽车如小汽车或卡车中内燃机的冷却循环在这里受到特别的关注。然而,本发明的防冻浓缩物还可在固定的发动机中、在中央加热***的热水循环中、在由电阻器加热的辐射器中和在太阳能加热循环中用于所述目的。
在优选的实施方案中,组分(a)为两种各自具有3-16个,优选各自具有4-12个碳原子的不同饱和脂族二羧酸的混合物。
该二羧酸的典型实例是丙二酸,琥珀酸,戊二酸,己二酸,庚二酸,辛二酸,壬二酸,癸二酸,十一烷二酸、十二烷二酸,二聚环戊二烯二羧酸,邻苯二甲酸和对苯二甲酸。在这里也可使用对应的酰亚胺,如琥珀酰亚胺。
琥珀酸和癸二酸的混合物对于组分(a)是特别优选的。
在另一优选的实施方案中,组分(c)是两种不同的烃-***的混合物,尤其是苯并***和甲苯并***(Tolutriazol)的混合物。然而,两种烃-噻唑的混合物或一种烃-***和一种烃-噻唑的混合物也可使用。合适烃-噻唑的实例是苯并噻唑和2-巯基苯并噻唑。
在另一实施方案中,本发明的防冻浓缩物还含有
(d)基于浓缩物的总量为0.05-5,优选0.1-3%重量的一种或多种脂族或芳族单羧酸,其各自具有5-18个碳原子,呈其碱金属盐、铵盐或取代铵盐形式。
合适的此类线性或支化脂族单羧酸的实例是戊酸、己酸、辛酸、2-乙基己酸、壬酸、癸酸、十一烷酸、十二烷酸和亚麻酸。
合适的此类芳族单羧酸尤其是苯甲酸,以及例如C1-C8-烷基苯甲酸,如o-、m-或p-甲基苯甲酸或p-叔丁基苯甲酸,以及含羟基的芳族单羧酸,如o-,m-或p-羟基苯甲酸或o-,m-或p-(羟甲基)苯甲酸。
可以含有羟基的具有6-10个碳原子的芳族单羧酸特别优选作为组分(d)。
所有所述羧酸以碱金属盐,尤其是钠盐或钾盐、以铵盐或取代铵盐(胺盐),例如三烷基胺或三链烷醇胺存在。
此外,本发明的防冻浓缩物还可含有一种或多种选自碱金属硼酸盐、碱金属磷酸盐、碱金属铬酸盐、碱金属硅酸盐、碱金属亚硝酸盐、碱金属硝酸盐和硝酸镁的腐蚀抑制剂,其量在各种情况下基于浓缩物的总量至多为1%重量,尤其是0.01-0.8%重量。
此类额外腐蚀抑制剂的实例是四硼酸钠(硼砂)、磷酸二氢钠、磷酸三钠、硅酸钠、亚硝酸钠和硝酸钠。
当存在碱金属硅酸盐时,它们有利的是由常规的有机硅磺酸盐(Organosilicosulfonate)以常规量稳定。
除了所述抑制剂组分外,例如还可以将有机酸的可溶性镁盐,如苯磺酸镁、甲磺酸镁、乙酸镁或丙酸镁,氢化咔唑或季铵化咪唑如DE-A196 05 509所述以常规量用作额外的抑制剂。
此外,本发明的防冻浓缩物还可基于浓缩物的总量额外含有至多1%重量,尤其是0.01-0.5%重量的硬水稳定剂,所述稳定剂基于聚丙烯酸、聚马来酸、丙烯酸/马来酸共聚物、聚乙烯基吡咯烷酮、聚乙烯基咪唑、乙烯基吡咯烷酮/乙烯基咪唑共聚物和/或不饱和羧酸和烯烃的共聚物。
然而,低分子量化合物,例如多羧酸,如2-膦酰基丁烷-1,2,4-三羧酸也可用作硬水稳定剂或螯合剂。
本发明的防冻浓缩物的pH通常为6-11,优选7-10,更优选7.5-9,尤其是7.5-8.3。所需的pH通常通过向配方中添加碱金属氢氧化物、氨或胺来产生;固体氢氧化钠或氢氧化钾以及氢氧化钠或氢氧化钾水溶液特别适于此目的。待存在的羧酸有利的是直接以相应的碱金属盐加入以自动达到所需的pH范围;然而,羧酸也可以游离酸加入,然后用碱金属氢氧化物、氨或胺中和,从而产生所需的pH。
所用的二羧酸优选(完全或主要)以二钾盐存在于本发明的防冻浓缩物中,使配方具有最佳的碱度保持。或者将相关的酸直接以二钾盐加入或用氢氧化钾中和配方中的游离二羧酸。当使用琥珀酸和癸二酸的混合物时,这二者均可以二钾盐存在或者琥珀酸以二钾盐存在而癸二酸以二钠盐存在。取决于所用二羧酸和pH,还可以存在少量的各自为酸性的单碱金属氢盐,特别是当使用氢氧化钠作为中和剂时。
合适的液体醇类防冻剂通常占本发明防冻浓缩物的主要部分(通常为至少75%重量,特别是至少85%重量),它们是亚烷基二醇及其衍生物,特别是丙二醇和尤其是乙二醇。然而,高级二醇和二醇醚也是合适的,例如二甘醇、二丙二醇和二醇的单醚,如乙二醇、丙二醇、二甘醇和二丙二醇的甲基醚、乙基醚、丙基醚和丁基醚。也可使用所述二醇和二醇醚的混合物。
在优选的实施方案中,本发明的防冻浓缩物基于乙二醇或含至少95%重量乙二醇的亚烷基二醇混合物。
作为其他常规助剂,本发明的防冻浓缩物还可以常规的少量含有消泡剂(通常的量为0.003-0.008%重量)、染料和在吞咽情况下用于卫生和安全目的的苦味物质(例如苯甲酸Denationium)。
本发明防冻浓缩物的制备通常可以通过将所述组分以任何所需顺序混合在一起而进行。在典型的制备方法中,首先将中和剂,特别是氢氧化钠或氢氧化钾,溶于部分,例如全部量的一半的亚烷基二醇中。然后,以游离形式加入两种二羧酸,例如首先加入琥珀酸,然后加入癸二酸。在它们溶解形成无残渣的透明溶液后,加入剩余的亚烷基二醇。在结束时或与二羧酸一起将剩余组分掺入配方中。
特别优选的本发明防冻浓缩物具有下列组成:
0.5-3,尤其是1.5-2%重量琥珀酸
0.5-3,尤其是1.5-2%重量癸二酸
0.05-1,尤其是0.1-0.5%重量钼酸钠或钼酸钾

作为100%重量的剩余部分的单乙二醇或至少含85%重量单乙二醇的亚烷基二醇混合物。
本发明还涉及即可使用的含水冷却剂组合物,其具有降低的冰点,尤其用于汽车领域的辐射器保护,其包含水和10-90,尤其是20-60%重量的本发明防冻浓缩物。
本发明的防冻浓缩物的特征在于能有效抑制开头所列金属和合金的腐蚀。它们也易于与其他材料如橡胶、塑料、接合胶、纤维和橡胶密封剂以及可能存在于工厂或内燃机的类似材料相容并在电化学腐蚀试验中给出良好的结果。
然而,本发明的防冻浓缩物的特征尤其在于与现有技术的组合物相比具有改进的高温稳定性。在160℃或更高的温度下,体系保持稳定并在例如175℃下可以给出可重现的试验结果。
下列实施例用于说明本发明,而不限制本发明。
实施例
将示于下表1的辐射器保护浓缩物配方A用作本发明防冻浓缩物并将类似于EP-B 552 988(1)实施例1的配方用作对比配方B。

配方A和B以水稀释液进行常规的腐蚀试验和高温稳定性试验。
在根据ASTM D 1384的腐蚀试验中的结果示于表2中。结果表明本发明的配方A与对比配方B相比,在非铁金属如铜和黄铜情况下和在其他金属如软焊料、钢、灰铸铁和铸铝情况下具有一样好的保护效果,且材料的除去基本没有发生。

在这些腐蚀试验中,两种配方各自在水中的浓度为33%体积。
在根据PSA标准D 55 5345(与Experimental Test Method CECC-14-X-99(1999年3月18日)相当)的辐射器保护组合物的高温稳定性试验(“Tenue en Temperature d’un Liquide de Refroidissement”)中,测定温度对pH稳定性和压力的影响。这两个参数的增加越陡,辐射器保护配方中所含的腐蚀抑制剂所经受的分解程度越大。
为此,将660ml用水稀释到33%体积的辐射器保护浓缩物配方A或B导入封闭的铝制耐压容器(在该容器中还存在第二种金属-铸铁环)并在搅拌下在175℃放置192小时。以特定的时间间隔测量压力,取样并测定样品的pH。在试验结束后,进行额外的肉眼测量以测定是否在金属表面出现沉积或腐蚀。试验完成24小时后,还测定液体中残余物的体积。
该高温稳定性试验的结果示于表3中。使用本发明配方A时pH和压力保持基本恒定,但在使用对比配方B时这两个参数均显著增加且在铝表面形成沉淀,同时这里还在试验液体中发现显著更大量的残余物。

这些结果表明与现有技术相比,本发明的防冻浓缩物具有显著改进的高温稳定性以及同样良好的防腐效果。
Claims (11)
1.一种基于亚烷基二醇或其衍生物且含有如下组分的防冻浓缩物:
(a)基于浓缩物的总量为0.05-10%重量的至少两种各自具有3-16个碳原子的不同二羧酸的混合物,其呈碱金属盐、铵盐或取代铵盐的形式,或在具有3-16个碳原子的饱和脂族二羧酸情况下,其呈酰亚胺形式,
(b)基于浓缩物的总量为0.01-5%重量的一种或多种碱金属、铵或取代铵的钼酸盐和
(c)基于浓缩物的总量为0.01-3%重量的至少两种不同腐蚀抑制剂的混合物,所述腐蚀抑制剂选自烃-***和烃-噻唑。
2.一种如权利要求1所要求的防冻浓缩物,其中组分(a)为两种各自具有3-16个碳原子的不同饱和脂族二羧酸的混合物。
3.一种如权利要求2所要求的防冻浓缩物,其中组分(a)为两种各自具有4-12个碳原子的不同饱和脂族二羧酸的混合物。
4.一种如权利要求1-3中任一项所要求的防冻浓缩物,其中组分(c)为两种不同烃-***的混合物。
5.一种如权利要求4所要求的防冻浓缩物,其中组分(c)为苯并***和甲苯并***的混合物。
6.一种如权利要求1-5中任一项所要求的防冻浓缩物,还含有
(d)基于浓缩物的总量为0.05-5%重量的一种或多种各自具有5-18个碳原子的脂族或芳族单羧酸,其呈碱金属盐、铵盐或取代铵盐的形式。
7.一种如权利要求1-6中任一项所要求的防冻浓缩物,还含有一种或多种腐蚀抑制剂,其选自碱金属硼酸盐、碱金属磷酸盐、碱金属硅酸盐、碱金属亚硝酸盐、碱金属硝酸盐和硝酸镁,其用量在各种情况下基于浓缩物的总量为至多1%重量。
8.一种如权利要求1-7中任一项所要求的防冻浓缩物,基于该浓缩物的总量还含有至多1%重量的基于聚丙烯酸、聚马来酸、丙烯酸/马来酸共聚物、聚乙烯基吡咯烷酮、聚乙烯基咪唑、乙烯基吡咯烷酮/乙烯基咪唑共聚物和/或不饱和羧酸和烯烃的共聚物的硬水稳定剂。
9一种如权利要求1-8中任一项所要求的防冻浓缩物,具有的pH为6-11。
10.一种如权利要求1-9中任一项所要求的防冻浓缩物,基于乙二醇或含有95%重量或95%重量以上乙二醇的亚烷基二醇混合物。
11.一种具有降低的冰点的即可使用的含水冷却剂组合物,包含水和10-90%重量如权利要求1-10中任一项所要求的防冻浓缩物。
