Background
At present, the decoration strip installed on the vehicle is generally used for meeting the appearance requirement, and the decoration strip with reasonable structure can have multiple functions. The A column of the vehicle is positioned at the left front and the right front of the vehicle body, is connected with the roof and the front cabin, protects the cockpit from deformation when the vehicle collides, and has the important function of improving the structural stability and the rigidity of the vehicle body. On the other hand, in the forward movement of the vehicle, the front portion of the vehicle body receives air resistance from the front surface, and there is a need for improvement in the design of the vehicle body to reduce wind resistance. Therefore, the structure of the A column also has an important effect on reducing wind resistance and wind noise. In the prior art, the wind resistance is reduced by optimally designing the radian of the A column. And wind resistance and wind noise problems at the junction of the A column and the front windshield glass are often ignored. And driving under rainy condition, the rainwater also often can turn over the A post and overflow to the side window or on the left and right rearview mirrors, influences driver's field of vision.

3) The outer surface of the ornamental strip is also provided with the air guide grooves, the air guide grooves are distributed along the length direction of the base body, air flow or rainwater is guided to move towards the top of the automobile body along the air guide grooves, wind resistance is further reduced, and rainwater is prevented from overflowing towards the side windows.

Detailed Description
Fig. 1 is an assembly schematic view of a trim strip according to an embodiment of the present invention where a front windshield is installed. Fig. 2 is a schematic perspective view of the molding shown in fig. 1. Fig. 2A is a partially enlarged rotated schematic perspective view of the portion M shown in fig. 2. As shown in fig. 1, the molding 100 for a vehicle is installed between the front windshield 200 and the a-pillar 300 for reducing wind resistance and wind noise and preventing rainwater from overflowing the a-pillar 300 to a side window of the vehicle. Referring to fig. 2, and also to fig. 2A, a base 110 and a connecting portion 120 may be generally included. A base 110 for forming a transition between the front windshield 200 and the a-pillar 300, which is a flat object having opposite inner and outer surfaces, wherein a side facing the front windshield 200 is an inner surface of the base 110, and the inner surface is a groove structure; the side of the base 110, which is close to the a pillar 300, is a tail portion 150 of the base 110, and the side, which is opposite to the tail portion 150, is an opening portion 140 of the base 110, the height of the tail portion 150 is not less than the height at the boundary of the adjacent a pillar 300, and a gap is formed between the opening portion 140 of the base 110 and the front windshield 200; the base 110 forms a transition between the front windshield 200 and the a-pillar 300. The connecting portion 120 is located at the tail portion 150 of the base 110, and is used for installing the base 110 at the junction of the front windshield 200 and the a pillar 300, and is connected to the tail portion 150 of the base 110 and forms an included angle with the base 110.
In a running state of the vehicle, the air flow flowing to the front windshield 200 through the hood and the fender spreads to both sides of the a pillar 300. Because of the steps between the A-pillar 300 and the front windshield 200, the air flow is separated after turning over the A-pillar 300, and strong vortex is formed. As the speed of the vehicle increases, the strength of the vortex increases, and rainwater also flows to the side window along with airflow in a rolling way, so that the sight of a driver is affected. The height of the ornamental strip 100 is not smaller than the height of the adjacent boundary of the A column 300, transition is formed between the front windshield 200 and the A column 300, and a gap is formed between the opening 140 and the front windshield 200, so that air flow is prevented from gathering at the boundary of the front windshield 200 and the A column 300 to form vortex, and meanwhile, rainwater is prevented from overflowing through the A column 300 to a side window or a left rearview mirror and a right rearview mirror.
Fig. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view taken along section line A-A in fig. 1. As shown in fig. 3, the molding 100 further has a flange 130, where the flange 130 is disposed at the inner surface of the base 110, extends from the inner surface of the base 110 toward the front windshield 200, and is bent toward the opening 140, and an edge of the flange 130 contacts the upper surface of the front windshield 200 and forms an angle α of greater than 90 ° with the upper surface of the front windshield on a side facing the opening 140.
Further, a C-shaped groove is formed on the inner surface of the base 110 and the flange at a side near the opening 140.
Preferably, the direction in which the front windshield extends toward the a-pillar is the width direction of the base 110, and the width W of the base 110 is not less than 25mm.
Preferably, an angle β between a tangent line of an outer surface of the base opening 140 and the front windshield is greater than 90 °.
The particular size, angle and shape of the trim strip 100 of the present invention helps to achieve the best technical results in the application.
Preferably, the distance H from the inner surface of the base 110 to the front windshield 200 is 8mm, the distance H from the low point of the opening 140 to the front windshield 200 is 6mm, the height of the highest point of the decorative strip 100 from the plane where the front windshield 200 is located is approximately 11mm, the included angle between the tangent line of the outer surface of the base 110 and the plane where the front windshield 200 is located is equal to 0 °, the width a from the flange 130 to the edge of the tail 150 of the base is 7mm, and the width B from the flange 130 to the edge of the opening 140 of the base is 21mm.
In another embodiment of the present invention, air guiding grooves 160 are further distributed on the outer surface of the base 110, and the air guiding grooves 160 are grooves distributed along the length direction of the base; the length of the air guide groove is consistent with the length of the base body, and the air guide groove can guide air flow or rainwater to move towards the top of the vehicle body along the air guide groove 160. Preferably, the height of the air guiding slot 160 is not more than 1/2 of the thickness t of the base 110.

Referring to fig. 4, and also referring to fig. 5, the outer surface of the decorative strip 100 in the present invention is further provided with air guide grooves 160, the air guide grooves 160 are distributed along the length direction of the base body, and guide air flow or rainwater to move towards the top of the vehicle body along the air guide grooves, so as to further reduce wind resistance and avoid rainwater overflowing towards the side windows.
As shown in fig. 4, the air guiding groove 160 is a U-shaped groove, and at least one air guiding groove 160 is disposed on the outer surface of the base 110. The outer surface of the base 110 is provided with a plurality of air guide grooves 160, and the air guide grooves 160 are parallel to each other and have a certain interval, so that the air guide grooves 160 form a plurality of grooves in the same direction on the outer surface of the base.
As shown in fig. 5, the air guiding slot 160 is a triangular groove; at least one air guiding groove 160 is formed on the outer surface of the base 110. The outer surface of the base 110 is provided with a plurality of air guide grooves 160, and the plurality of air guide grooves 160 are parallel to each other and are horizontally overlapped, so that the air guide grooves 160 form a step-shaped transition along the front windshield 200 toward the a-pillar 300.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the connection portion 120 is a rib-shaped protrusion perpendicular to the base 110, the a-pillar sheet metal is provided with a groove corresponding to the protrusion, and the protrusion and the groove are in interference fit, so as to fix the decorative strip 100 at the junction of the a-pillar 300 and the front windshield 200.

8. The molding of claim 1, wherein the air guide groove is a triangular groove.
9. The molding of claim 8 wherein said exterior surface of said base has at least one said air chute.

The decorative strip of claim 8, wherein the outer surface of the base body is provided with a plurality of air guide grooves which are mutually parallel and horizontally overlapped, so that the air guide grooves form a step-shaped transition from the front windshield to the A column direction on the outer surface of the base body.
