Description

Guide rail for guiding operation of sunroof for vehicle, assembly including guide rail and inner side molding, sunroof, and method of manufacturing sunroof
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a guide rail for guiding the operation of a sunroof of a vehicle, and more particularly, to a guide rail capable of positioning an inner molding. The invention also relates to an assembly comprising the guide rail and an inner side trim and a vehicle sunroof comprising the guide rail or the assembly. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the guide rail, the assembly or the skylight.
Background
Along with people's favor to vehicle skylight, more and more vehicles are installed the skylight, and this not only is favorable to the air to flow, also is favorable to daylighting in the car. However, the sunroof needs to be driven by a plurality of parts, and an inner side trim needs to be installed on the sunroof in order to shield the driving parts for the interior of the vehicle to be beautiful and tidy.
Fig. 1 shows a guide rail 1 of a sunroof for a vehicle, which guide rail 1 is intended to be mounted on both left and right sides of the sunroof and extends in the front-rear direction of the vehicle (i.e., the longitudinal direction of the vehicle) for guiding an operation of the sunroof, such as opening and/or tilting. The guide rail 1 includes a body 10 and a mounting portion 11 provided on the body 10. The body 10 has a longitudinal direction that coincides with the front-rear direction of the vehicle. The mounting portion 11 extends in the longitudinal direction of the body 10 to mount the inner side molding 2 for shading thereon (see fig. 2). The longitudinal end (shown as the front end in the vehicle traveling direction in the drawing) of the mounting portion 11 is provided with a stopper portion 12 to indicate the mounting position of the inner molding 2.
Fig. 2 shows a state in which the inner side molding 2 is mounted on the guide rail 1 as viewed from the right front side in the vehicle interior. As shown in the drawing, the inner molding 2 is corrugated, extends in the longitudinal direction of the guide rail 1, and is mounted in a vertical posture to the mounting portion 11 of the guide rail 1 in a substantially horizontal plane. To install the inner molding 2, the inner molding 2 wraps the free lateral edge of the installation part 11 and slides forward along the installation part 11 from the rear end of the installation part 11 to the stopper 12. At this time, further sliding of the inner molding strip 2 is blocked, thereby indicating that the inner molding strip 2 has moved into position. As can be seen from this figure, the underside 21 of the inner molding 2 snaps over the lateral edge of the mounting portion 11 of the guide rail 1, and its upper side 22 is secured to a likewise substantially horizontal roof window (not shown in the figure) to move back and forth along the guide rail 1 with the roof window.
Fig. 1 clearly shows the structure of the stop 12 of the guide rail 1. The stopper portion 12 is formed in the form of a tab, which is formed by first cutting out a part of the mounting portion 11 in a U-shape and then pressing the portion surrounded by the U-shaped cut-out portion upward in the vertical direction (i.e., a direction perpendicular to the surface of the mounting portion 11), so that the tab protrudes from the surface of the mounting portion 11, and the stopper of the inner molding 2 is achieved.
Since the stopper portion 12 needs to be formed by two processes of cutting and pressing as described above, the processing cost is increased. In addition, since the stopper portion 12 is formed by cutting out a part of the guide rail 1, the edge of the stopper portion 12 becomes sharp, and the operator is easily scratched, so that safety is lowered. Further, stress concentration occurs at the cut-out portion of the guide rail 1, and the strength of the guide rail 1 is reduced.

fig. 2 is a partially enlarged perspective view of the guide rail of fig. 1 in a state where an inner molding is mounted;
FIG. 3 is an enlarged partial view of a guide rail according to the present invention; and
fig. 4 is a partially enlarged view of the guide rail of fig. 3 in a state where the inner molding is attached.
Detailed Description
Hereinafter, the guide rail 1 for guiding the operation of the sunroof for a vehicle according to the present invention will be described with reference to fig. 3 and 4. The guide rail 1 is mounted to a body-in-white, for example. However, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the guide rail may be used in other parts of the vehicle.
As shown in fig. 3 and 4, the guide rail 1 includes a body 10 and a mounting portion 11 provided on the body 10. The body 10 has a longitudinal direction, and the mounting portion 11 extends in the longitudinal direction of the body 10 for mounting the inner side molding 2 thereon. The mounting portion 11 is provided with a stopper portion 12 at a longitudinal end thereof. The stopper portion 12 is formed integrally with the mounting portion 11 and continuously without any discontinuity. The stopper 12 protrudes from the mounting portion 11 to position the inner molding 2.
The present invention differs from the prior art in that the stop 12 is continuous with the mounting portion 11 without any interruption, i.e. the surface of the mounting portion 11 is still smooth after the formation of the stop 12. Accordingly, the mounting portion 11 does not have a sharp edge as in the conventional art, and safety is greatly improved.
The mounting portion 11 is in the form of an elongated flat plate having a lateral side 13 connected to the body 10 and a free lateral side 14 opposite the lateral side 13. In order to form the stop 12 on the mounting portion 11, the mounting portion 11 is pressed, preferably pressed or stamped, laterally from the free transverse side 14 of the mounting portion 11, so that the mounting portion 11 is deformed to form a bulge. Specifically, the deformation is generated by press-working the mounting portion 11 in a lateral direction (e.g., a transverse direction) horizontally (e.g., in a horizontal plane in which the mounting portion 11 is located). Since the stopper portion 12 of the present invention is formed by directly press-working the guide rail 1 without cutting, that is, the stopper portion 12 is formed by only a single press working, the working is simpler and the material utilization is higher than the prior art, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. Further, since the guide rail 1 is not formed with a partially cut-away portion, stress concentration does not occur, and the strength of the guide rail 1 is not affected.
Preferably, the mounting portion 11 has only one stopper portion 12 provided at a longitudinal front end of the mounting portion 11. However, it is conceivable for the person skilled in the art that the stop 12 can also be arranged at the longitudinally rear end of the mounting 11. However, in this case, the stopper portion 12 is preferably provided at the front end of the mounting portion 11 because the stopper portion 12 is located at the middle position of the sunroof opening after the guide rail 1 is mounted to the body in white, which is an aesthetic problem.
In addition, the mounting portion 11 has an enlarged cross-section at its free lateral side 14, for example, an arrow, T, Y, etc., as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the mounting portion 11, to enhance the connection with the inner molding 2 when the mounting portion 11 is snapped into the longitudinal groove of the inner molding 2. However, it is also possible that the mounting portion 11 does not have an enlarged cross section at its free lateral side 14, i.e. that the entire mounting portion 11 has a rectangular cross section.
Fig. 4 shows a state where the inner side molding 2 is mounted on the guide rail 1. As shown in fig. 4, when the inner molding 2 is mounted, the inner molding 2 is slid forward in the longitudinal direction along the mounting portion 11 up to the stopper 12. The forward movement of the inner molding strip 2 is resisted by a certain resistance due to the blocking of the blocking part 12, so that an operator can clearly know that the inner molding strip 2 is moved in place, and the movement of the inner molding strip 2 is stopped.
In the assembly consisting of the guide rail 1 and the inner molding 2, the underside 21 of the inner molding 2 is mounted to the free transverse side 14 of the mounting 11, similarly to the prior art, in order to mount the inner molding 2 on the guide rail 1. An upper side (not shown) of the inner molding 2 is used to be fixed to a roof glass (not shown) to move with the movement of the roof glass. In the mounted state, the guide rail 1 and the roof glass are substantially parallel to each other, and the inner side molding 2 is mounted between the guide rail 1 and the roof glass in the vertical direction, that is, substantially perpendicular to the guide rail 1 and the roof glass.
The invention also relates to a vehicle sunroof comprising the guide rail 1 or assembly described above.
In the production of the guide rail 1 according to the invention, the stop 12 is formed, in contrast to the prior art, by a single pressing, preferably extrusion, of the mounting section 11 of the guide rail 1 from its free transverse side 14. Preferably, to form the stopper portion 12 on the mounting portion 11, a longitudinal end portion, such as a front end side (e.g., a lateral direction), of the mounting portion 11 is urged from a lateral side 14 of the mounting portion 11 in a horizontal plane in which the mounting portion 11 is located. The lateral sides 14 of the mounting portion 11 are forced to deform inwardly so that the upper and/or lower surface of the mounting portion 11 bulges to form a stop 12. By machining the mounting portion 11 from the side in the horizontal direction, machining is facilitated and the deformation area of the guide rail 1 is small.
The manufacturing method according to the invention brings the advantages that: the blocking part 12 is formed in one step, so that compared with the prior art, the processing is simpler, the material utilization rate is higher, and the manufacturing cost is reduced. Further, since no cut-out portion is formed in the guide rail 1, stress concentration does not occur, and the strength of the guide rail 1 is not affected.
While the invention has been described with reference to preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not so limited. The invention is intended to cover various modifications and equivalent arrangements. Such modifications and equivalents should also be understood to be within the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
