Laboratory clamp
The present invention relates to a laboratory clamp for the creation of frame constructions in laboratories of all branches of industry, mainly in the chemical industry, which allows quick, all-round attachment and conversion of a frame construction, which is required by operational concerns.
The laboratory clamp, which is used to connect two rack rods, is characterized according to the invention in that the two articulated rods are connected to one another by articulated pieces and are arranged to be rotatable in all directions and pivotable to one another.
The laboratory clamp is suitable for creating frame constructions for holding vessels, tubes, instruments, apparatus, etc. in any desired position and allows any desired change to be made to the frame at any time in the shortest possible time.
The laboratory clamp is also characterized by its low weight despite its robust construction, long service life, resistance to various types of chemicals and an elegant and space-saving construction.
In the drawing, for example, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely show:
1 shows an elevation of the laboratory clamp, partly in section,
FIG. 2 is a side elevation with partial section along line II-II in FIG. 1,
3 shows a plan with partial section along line III-III in FIGS. 1 and
FIG. 4 shows a detail of FIG. 3 on a larger scale.
The laboratory clamp shown has two clamp holding pieces 3, 4 penetrated transversely by a frame rod 1 or 2 each, which are connected to one another in a pivotable or rotatable manner by a ball joint 7, 8. The ball joint consists of a ball pin 7 and a socket 8 that accommodates the ball 7a of the latter. The ball pin 7 is firmly connected to the clamp holder 4 by gluing a cylindrical pin 7b into a bore 4b of the clamp holder 4 by means of an adhesive such as araldite. A clamping screw 8 provided with a flap handle engages in a threaded bore 4a running transversely to the frame rod 2 and is used to fix the frame rod 2, which is rotatable and displaceable in the clamp holding piece 4.
The ball socket 8 consists of a sleeve provided at one end with a flange 8a, the bore 10 of which is open at one end and narrowed holükugelarttg at the other end and is opened by an axial bore 10a. The sleeve 8 serving as a ball socket is also opened laterally through a longitudinal slot 11. The ball 7a rests in the axial bore 10, with the pin 7 seated on the ball protruding outward through the longitudinal slot 11 as in FIG. 1 and, after pivoting according to arrow a by 90 degrees, through the narrowed axial bore 10a. The clamp holding piece 3 forms a cylindrical sleeve which is penetrated in a through transverse bore 12 by the frame rod 1 so that it can easily be rotated and displaced. A tab screw 13, which is screw-adjustable in a nut 14, is used to fix the frame rod 1.
The nut 14 is firmly connected to a washer 15 resting against it, which is supported in the sleeve-shaped clamping holding piece 3 in the outward direction by a circlip 16. The end of the ball socket 8 provided with the flange 8a engages in the other end of the sleeve-shaped clamp retaining piece 3 and is supported in this from the outside by a circlip 17, a sliding ring 18 being inserted between the flange 8a and the circlip 17.
A pressure piston 19 which supports the frame rod 1 against the joint ball 7a engages in the axial bore 10 of the sleeve-shaped joint socket 8, which on the one hand rests with a hollow ball-like recess 20 of the joint ball 7a and on the other hand engages around the frame rod 1 on both sides with a fork 19a, whereby the fork legs come into contact on the nut 14 twisting of the fork legs is prevented. The frame rod 1 rests on the one hand on the clamping screw 13 and on the other hand against the fork saddle, which has a groove 21 or a keyway 21 'in the middle. As a result, the frame rod 1, regardless of its diameter, always has a centered support of three seat surfaces x, y, z, namely on the one hand on the clamping screw 13 and on the other hand on the two keyway surfaces y, z.
By tightening the clamping screw 13, the frame rod 1 is clamped and centered at three points between the clamping screw 13 and the pressure piston 19, so that the rod can neither be rotated nor displaced. At the same time, the pressure exerted on the pressure piston 19 by the clamping screw 13 has a clamping effect on the joint ball 7a in the socket 8, so that the joint pin 7 together with the clamping holding piece 4 is rigidly set with the clamping holding piece 3. When the clamping screw 13 is loosened, the entire clamp is longitudinally displaceable and rotatable on the frame rod 1.
At the same time, a decrease in the clamping pressure on the joint ball 7a is achieved, so that the ball pin 7 together with the clamping retaining piece 4 can be rotated about the axis of the ball pin 7, or about the axis of the pressure piston 19 according to the arrows b in FIG Joint ball 7a, which is perpendicular to the axis of the pressure piston 19 and the axis of the ball stud 7, can be pivoted through 90 degrees in the direction of the arrow a in FIG.
