Collar for fixing pipes The present invention relates to a clamp for fixing pipes such as water, gas or electricity pipes.
Self-tightening collars are known for this purpose comprising a flexible notched strap, one end of which is fixed to a support provided to be as subject to a wall, said support having a not healthy for the free end of the strap with a unidirectional retaining device cooperating with the notches of the strap and allowing the clamping of the collar but opposing its loosening.
Such collars have the advantage of being able to be tightened without the aid of any tool, since it suffices to pull on the end of the thong engaged through the loop, but they have the drawback of being indes- sible. stable and unmountable.
The object of the invention is to achieve a collar which does not have this drawback.
To this end, the collar according to the invention, comprising a flexible notched strap, a support intended to be secured to a wall and a loop for the strap, is characterized in that the two ends of the strap, folded over. one against the other to form a loop, both pass freely through the loop, the end part of one of these ends forming a zipper followed on the internal face by a continuous series of notches, while the end part of the other forms a tail followed, on the internal face, by at least one notch cooperating with said continuous series of notches, then by a smooth part and, on the external face, a retaining heel abutting on the edge .du passer, the notch and the heel being located; outside of the loop relative to the loop formed by the strap.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention. 1 is a sectional view of a collar following a first embodiment, during tightening; fig. 2 is a sectional view of the same collar being loosened; fig. 3 represents the same: collar in the position of use; the fi-. 4 is a sectional view of a collar according to a second embodiment, during tightening; fig. 5 is a sectional view of this same collar, being loosened; fig. 6 shows the same collar in the position of use.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the collar consists on the one hand of a support 1 intended to be secured to a wall 2 by means of a screw 3, and secured to two loops 4 and 5, and on the other hand of a flexible strap 6.
One end of said strap constitutes a zipper 7 and the other a tail 8. The strap passes successively in the loop 4, then in the sant 5, to return in the loop 4 by forming a loop in which is clamped the pipe. 9 to be fixed. On the side of the zipper 7, the strap has, on its internal face, a continuous series of notches 10. On the side of the tail 8, it has, on its internal face, three notches 11 followed a smooth part and, on its outer face, a retaining heel 12 abutting on the edge of the loop 4. With respect to the loop formed by the strap, the screens 11 and the retaining heel 12 are located at the outside of passer 4.
To tighten this collar (fia. 1), it suffices to pull the zipper 7 by hand, moving it away from the tail 8. The retaining heel 12 takes the tail 8 - to cross the loop 4 and consequently allows the tightening of the loop formed by the strap on the pipe 9 to be fixed. The notches of the 10 series pass over the notches 11 which are erased elastically.
When the desired tension has been obtained, the pulling on the zipper 7 is stopped, which returns by itself towards the tail 8 (fig. 3). The notches of the series 10 mesh with the notches 11 securing the zipper 7 and the tail 8 and preventing them from going back through the loop 4. The pipe 9 therefore remains perfectly tight.
To obtain the loosening (fig. 2), it suffices to press on the shank 8 to move it away from the zipper 7. The notches 11 are then released from the notches of the series 10 and, under the effect of the tension, the part of the strap ending in the zipper 7 returns by itself back through the loop 4, the notches of the series 10 sliding freely on the smooth part which follows the notches 11. on the side of the tail 8.
The embodiment shown in fi-. 4 to 6 differs from the embodiment shown in fia. 1 to 3 in that the loop 4 is formed by a piece independent of the support 1 and in that said support is made in one piece with the strap 6, this support being located at an intermediate point along the length of the strap forming the loop which encloses the pipe to be fixed.
