Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Wristwatch The present invention relates to a wristwatch, the case of which comprises a middle part and a base removably fixed to the middle part. This wristwatch is characterized in that each end of the bracelet has an opening which is engaged in a recess made in at least one of the two parts - middle and back - and is held in place axially by said parts, said recess having the same shape as said blossoming,
so that a pull exerted on the bracelet cannot separate the latter from the watch.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a bottom view of this embodiment, the bottom being removed and one of the ends of the bracelet being put in place. Fig. 2 is a view from below of the caseband, in perspective, on an enlarged scale, the different parts of the wristwatch being separated from each other. Fig. 3 is a section through III-III of FIG. 1, on a larger scale.
The wristwatch shown, of which only what is necessary for understanding the invention has been shown in the drawing, comprises a case formed by a middle part 1 on which a crystal 2 and a back cover are removably adjusted. 3. The kind of these adjustments can be any; in the case shown in the drawing, these are notch adjustments of the usual type.
The bracelet 4 is formed by a flexible link of any type. Each of its ends has an opening 5 integral with the bracelet 4 or attached to the latter. Each opening 5 is engaged in a recess 6 made in the middle 1. The recess 6 has the same shape as the opening 5.
In the case shown in the drawing, the recess 6 is dovetailed, but it could be given other suitable shapes, provided that the width of its entrance is less than its width measured towards the bottom of the recess. When the bottom 3 is placed on the middle part 1 (FIG. 3), its peripheral rim 7 rests on the openings 5 and maintains them axially in place. It can be seen that, if a traction is exerted on the bracelet 4, it is not possible to separate the latter from the watch.
Instead of making the recesses 6 in the middle 1, they can be made in the back 3, or partly in the middle 1 and partly in the back 3.
The device described for attaching a bracelet to a watch is particularly simple, inexpensive and solid. In addition, it gives the watch a pleasant appearance, due to the elimination of the usual lugs or handles.
