The subject of the present invention is a door lock, characterized in that the door handles must be moved in the direction perpendicular to the door plane in order to open the lock, in the same sense as the door is pivoted when opening, the movement of the handle being operated over it load-bearing organ is transmitted to the bolt by a transmission device against the action of the bolt closing spring.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is Darge provides. 1 shows a vertical section of the door lock in the closed position and FIG. 2 shows a horizontal cross section of the same.
The bolt designated in the drawing with 1 is during its back and forth movement of the guide pieces 2 leads ge. The locking spring 5, which acts on one bolt end 3 and is guided by a screw 4, presses the bolt head end 6 into the opening of the locking plate 7. The device for transmitting the loading movement of the door handles on the bolt has a pin 9 which is attached to the bolt 1 in a recess 8 of the same and engages in a slot 10 which is inclined to the direction of movement of the bolt at an intermediate piece 11 on which the two handle pins 12 and 16 are attached, is arranged. The handles 14 and 15 are designed ben-shaped, but can also be spherical.
If, for example, the handle 14 is moved in the direction of the opening pivoting of the inwardly opening door, i.e. pulled out in the direction of the arrow perpendicular to the door plane, the pin 9 slides in the slot 10 towards its end 16, whereby the bolt 1 counteracts the action of the Closing spring is pushed to the right. The door can then be opened as soon as the bolt head 6 has left the strike plate 7. Analogously, the door can be opened from the other, outer side by pushing the door handle 15 in the direction perpendicular to the door plane, i.e. in the direction of the arrow, whereby the pin 9 in turn slides against the end 16 of the slot 10 and the bolt 1 against it the action of the closing spring is pushed to the right.
As soon as the actuated door handle is released, the closing spring 5 pushes the bolt 1 back into its rest position, as shown in the drawing, in which the head end 6 protrudes from the lock housing. The door can also be closed by slamming, whereby the protruding bolt head 6 first hits the strike plate 7 and then snaps into it.
Since the door handles are neither swiveled nor rotated for actuation, but only pushed respectively. are drawn, they can be given the shape of a ball or disk and the like. It is advisable to place the label "pull" above the door handle 14 and the label "push" above the handle 15 in order to indicate the direction of movement for the actuation. The closing mechanism is covered by a lock housing 17 and the whole is screwed onto the door by means of the screws 1.8.
The slot 10 can also be attached directly to a pin connecting the door handles with one another, so that the intermediate piece 11 is unnecessary. But it can also be provided on the handle pin itself a pin who engages with a slot attached to the bolt. Furthermore, the transmission device can either be designed individually for each door handle or, as shown in the drawing, both handle pins act on a common transmission element 11. The device for transmitting the movement of the door handles to the bolt can also consist of aids other than those described above, without thereby exceeding the scope of the present invention.
The door lock described offers the following advantages over previous versions: The direction of movement of the door handles when the lock is opened corresponds to the direction of pivoting of the opening door, with either the inner door handle 14 being pulled out or the outer door handle to open the door 15 must be pushed into it. The operation of the door handle is easier because it does not have to be pivoted or turned.
Since no bow-shaped or hook-shaped door handles, but rather disc-shaped handles, are placed on the handle pins, the risk of items of clothing etc. getting caught on the door handles is completely eliminated. Furthermore, the door can be dimensioned weaker, because the lock is screwed directly onto the door and therefore no recess is to be liringen on the door, but only a single hole for the passage of the handle pin 13 ge has to be drilled.
