Device on motor vehicles with internal combustion engine for switching on the starter and for operating other organs of the vehicle. The invention relates to a device on motor vehicles with internal combustion engine to turn on the starter and to operate other organs of the vehicle, eg. B. the throttle valve or the clutch, by means of one and the same hand or foot actuator.
In the previously known devices of this type, the actuation of the starter must be done by the accelerator pedal in the initial travel of the pedal, so with a small stroke, because the pedal is constantly coupled to the throttle valve and starting with the throttle valve too wide open is unfavorable. In general, the amalgamation of a switch on the starter with the actuation of the throttle valve in the previously known manner also for the starter itself after parts. Because it is z. B. in these Vorrich lines because of the coupling of the starter linkage with the throttle linkage hardly possible, please include a foot engagement starter, which requires a long pedal away to engage the pinion.
The purpose of the invention is to turn the starter on to make it independent of the operation of the other vehicle organs. According to the invention, this is achieved by a switching device dependent on the operating state of the engine, by means of which the device is automatically switched from the position for switching on the starter to that for actuating the other driving devices. This avoids the disadvantages of the known devices.
In the drawing, four execution examples of the subject invention are Darge provides. 1 shows a device for switching on the starter and actuating the throttle valve of the motor, FIG. 2 a second embodiment of the actuating device, FIG. 3 a third embodiment of the actuating device and FIG. 4 a fourth embodiment of the actuating device.
In Fig. 1, 1 is a shaft be characterized, on which a pedal 2 is attached. A sleeve 3 is firmly seated on this shaft, on which an arm 4 is pivotably arranged, so that it can both rotate with the shaft and pivot perpendicular to this rotational movement. On the shaft 1 are also on both sides of the arm 4 two carriers 5 and 6 are firmly attached. On the carrier 5, a cylinder 7 is attached, which is connected by means of a flexible Lei device 8 to the intake pipe J of the engine. The piston of the cylinder is connected to the arm 4 by the rod 10. One end of a tension spring 11 is suspended from the carrier 6, while the other end is fastened to the arm 4.
The arm 4 can einwir ken with its rotation with the shaft 1 on two rods 12 and 13. The rod 12 sits on the pivot lever 14 of a starter 15, while the rod 13 is connected to the throttle valve 16 in the intake pipe 9 of the engine. When pivoting the starter lever 14, on the one hand, the starter pinion 17 is engaged in the flywheel 18 of the engine and, on the other hand, the switch 19 of the starter is closed. An adjustable stop is mounted on the rod 13 which is in the path of the arm 4 when the arm moves the rod 12. The purpose of the strike is: to be able to give a little partial throttle during the starting process if necessary.
The contacts of the switch 19 are so flexible that after the contact has been made, the lever 14 can still be pivoted a little further. Between the pinion 17 and the sleeve 17a, a spring 17b is inserted for the same purpose, which still allows further movement of the sleeve after the pinion is fully engaged. The spring 20 is used to move the pedal with the shaft and the parts sitting on it back into the rest position. The device works as follows: when the engine is at a standstill, there is no negative pressure in the cylinder 7.
The arm 4 is therefore pulled by the spring 11 against its fixed suspension point so far that it lies in front of the rod 12. When Niedertre th of the pedal 2, the rod 12 is moved and pivoted through it, the lever 14, which engages the pinion 17 and the switch 19 closes. As soon as the engine is running by itself, the driver releases the pedal so that the arm 4 returns to its rest position. In the meantime, the negative pressure in the cylinder 7 has increased so that it is able to overcome the force of the spring 11 and pull the arm 4 in front of the rod 13. If the driver now depresses the pedal 2, the arm 4 moves the rod 13 and opens the throttle valve 16.
If the negative pressure drops so much when the throttle valve is open that it can no longer overcome the force of the spring 11 and it therefore wants to pivot the arm 4 back, the arm strikes the rod 12 and is thus prevented from moving out of the area of the Rod 1.3 to come. To stop the engine, the driver releases the pedal. The arm 4 returns to its rest position and is pulled by the spring 11 again in front of the rod 12 because there is no longer any negative pressure in the cylinder Zy. If, when starting the engine, the driver notices that the engine does not start well with the throttle valve closed, he can open the throttle valve a little by continuing to press the pedal.
In the second exemplary embodiment, the sleeve 3 on which the arm 4 is seated is longitudinally displaceable on the shaft 1. On the outside of the sleeve, a guide ring 21 is attached through which a fork 22 engages, which is connected by a rod 23 to the piston of a vacuum cylinder 24. This embodiment has the advantage that the cylinder 24 is not moved with the rotation of the shaft 1. To limit the displacement of the arm 4 1 stops 25 and 26 are attached to the shaft. In the third exemplary embodiment, the sleeve 3 on which the arm 4 is seated is also displaceable on the shaft 1.
On a carrier 27, which is fixed on the shaft 1, a compression spring 28 is attached, which seeks to push the arm 4 against the rod 29 of the Unterdruckzylin countries. In the cylinder there is a spring 30 which presses on the piston 31 of the cylinder and is stronger than the spring 28, so that the arm 4 is pushed away from the cylinder in the absence of the negative pressure. As soon as there is sufficient negative pressure in the cylinder, the piston is drawn in against the pressure of the spring 30 so that the spring 28 can now move the arm 4 against the cylinder. The rod 29 rests only loosely on the ring 21 of the sleeve 3 and is not firmly connected to it, so that it can stand out completely from the ring 21 when there is sufficient negative pressure.
This embodiment has the advantage that the connection between the rod 29 and the ring 21 is completely canceled and therefore there is no frictional resistance when the arm 4 is rotated in order to operate the throttle valve.
The fourth embodiment is not fundamentally different from the third example. The only difference is that here the arm can be swiveled and the sleeve 3 is firmly seated on the shaft. The leaf spring 32, which is firmly seated on the shaft, seeks to move the arm against the piston of the vacuum cylinder 35, just like the spring 28 in the example according to FIG. 3. The piston rod 33 has at the end a bow-shaped head 34 on which the arm 4 can slide up if he wants to return to the rest position from the position in which he operates the throttle valve, and if for any reason we conditions lack of vacuum in Cylinder 35 of hopf 34 is in the path of the arm. This case can e.g.
This can happen, for example, when the engine stops due to overload, because the throttle valve is completely open here and there is no negative pressure in the cylinder before the arm 4 has returned to the rest position. To operate the Umschaltein direction other means depending on the speed of the engine can be used instead of the negative pressure, eg. B. a relay fed by the alternator of the engine or a governor.
