Description

spring motor. The object of the present invention is a spring motor. This motor is characterized by a barrel and by at least two spiral springs superimposed therein, one of the ends of each spring being integral with the drum of the barrel and the other with the shaft of the latter.

The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.

Fig. 1 is an elevational view thereof, in axial section; figs. 2 and 3 are sections through II-II, III-III respectively of FIG. 1.

The engine shown comprises a barrel 1, in which are superimposed four bushings 2. In each of these bushings is placed a spiral spring 3, the outer end of which is fixed to the bush at 4 and the inner end of which is fixed in 5 to the barrel shaft 6; the four sockets 2 are secured to the barrel drum by a common cylindrical key 7; on the shaft 6 is fixed the winding rocket 8 with which the retaining pawl 9 cooperates. The barrel has teeth 10 by which the driving force is transmitted to members not shown.

The four springs 3 go up at the same time and also relax at the same time by acting together on the barrel, the advantage obtained is the production of a relatively large driving force in a small space.

Of course, the invention is not limited to what is shown in the drawing. In particular, the bushes could be replaced by simple rings or by supports of other shapes.
