Watch with moth winding, by hand and automatic by oscillating weight. The present invention relates to a united watch with mixed winding, by hand and automatic by means of an oscillating weight. This watch is characterized by a winding return wheel comprising a toothed wheel and a ratchet integral with one another and a second toothed wheel mounted idly between them and carrying an impulse pawl cooperating with the rock.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the mixed-winding mechanism of the. watch; fig. 2 is a section, on a larger scale, along the line II-II of FIG. 1. In the watch shown, 3 designates the ratchet -of the barrel which can be wound either by hand by the winding stem 4, or automatically by the oscillating weight 5.
For this purpose, or has provided a mobile - known as crown - of particular construction: - this mobile is composed of a - toothed wheel '6, a ratchet 7 and a second toothed wheel 8. The toothed wheel 6 and the rochët 7, the hubs of which are adjacent, are secured by @ two pins 23 and are mounted on a common dounlle 9 engaged on a journal 10 of a bridge 10 'of the frame and held in place by a cap screw 11.
The toothed wheel 8 is mounted loose on the thinned end 7 'of the hub -du ratchet 7, its central part resting on the upper face of the toothed wheel 6. It has a ring gear 8' raised, and carries, in the annular space formed between the rim of this ring: toothed and the sawtooth crown 7 "of the ratchet 7, an impulse pawl 12 held in engagement with said toothing 7" by a spring 13.
The toothed wheel 6 is in direct engagement, on the one hand, with the winding pinion 14 (FIG. 2) actuated by the winding stem 4 and, on the other hand, with the ratchet 3 of the barrel. The idler toothed wheel .8 is engaged with a pinion 15 which, through the wheel 1-6, the pinion 17, and the wheel 18, is driven by a ratchet 19 mounted idle. On the pivot of the oscillating mass 5 and actuated by the impulse ratchet 20 of the latter. 21 designates the usual pawl for retaining the ratchet 3 of the barrel.
When the winding of the barrel is done automatically by the oscillating weight 5, the pinion 15 driven in the direction of; arrow f 'turns the idle wheel 8 in the direction of the arrow f ; the impulse pawl 12 articulated on said wheel 8 drives the ratchet 7 in the same direction and the. toothed wheel 6, integral with the ratchet, actuates the ratchet 3 of the barrel in the winding direction.
When, on the contrary, the watch is resting and being wound by hand by the winding stem 4, the re-assembly pinion 14 directly drives the toothed wheel 6 and, through it, the roehet 3 of the barrel in the direction of the reassembly. The impulse pawl 12 slides on the saw teeth of the ratchet 7 and the idler toothed wheel 8 as well as all the return mo biles of the automatic winding remain stationary.
It goes without saying that the number of intermediate mo biles of the automatic device may vary according to the models and that the reciprocal arrangement and the construction of the members making up the return wheel may also vary.
