Description
Neuerung an H#hnerst#llen.
Innovation at H # hnerst # llen.
The subject of the present invention is an innovation in chicken coops. The same consists in the fact that at least one scratching floor is arranged between the stable floor and a dung flooring provided under the perches and at least one window for illuminating the mentioned scratching floor is attached to at least one outer wall.
With this innovation, the space available in the barn is better used than before for the opportunity to move, which has a favorable effect on the laying activity of the chickens. This is particularly the case when several paving floors are arranged one above the other.
The drawing shows a henhouse equipped with the new equipment as an example in vertical section.
1 denotes the floor, 2 a side wall, 3 the front wall, 4 the rear wall, 5 the roof, 6 the manure floor, which is arranged next to the roof, and 7 the perches of the chicken coop. Between the dung floor 6 and the stable floor 1, three scratch floors 8 are arranged one above the other. Each scratch floor consists of loose, folded boards which rest freely on support strips 9 fastened to the side walls 2.
The inner end board of each scratching floor carries an edge strip 10, which prevents the chickens from being thrown away and heaped up over the scratching floor as much as possible. The scraper spaces 11 formed by the scrapers 8 are connected to one another and to the bedroom 15 by ladders 12. By setting up or By hanging up various kinds of food, the atoners can be induced to go to the various stashes. The latter are through in the front and in the rear wall window 15, respectively. 14 illuminated.
A window 141 illuminates the stable floor from behind.
The innovation shown is particularly advantageous in such cases and at those times when the hens have little or no free-wheeling. The number of scratch floors can be different. At least one window could also be provided on only one outer wall to illuminate a visual floor.
