Abstract

La présente invention concerne un outil de coupe possédant une excellente résistance et résistance à l'usure. L'outil de coupe possède, dans sa lame de coupe, un diamant polycristallin très dur qui est produit en convertissant une composition de matières premières comprenant une substance carbonée n'étant pas du diamant en un diamant dans des conditions de très haute pression/haute température sans ajouter d'additif de frittage ou de catalyseur, et qui comprend essentiellement uniquement un diamant. Le diamant polycristallin possède une structure mixte composée d'un cristal de diamant fin possédant un diamètre de cristal maximum de 100 nm ou moins et un diamètre de cristal moyen de 50 nm ou moins et un cristal de diamant en forme de feuille ou grossier particulaire possédant un diamètre de cristal minimum de 50 nm ou plus et un diamètre de cristal maximum de 10000 nm ou moins.
