Abstract

The industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of the motor scooter shown in the drawings; the motor scooter presents a step-through frame formed from an upper front structure, a front leg shield area, a generally symmetrical and upwardly curved from side to side floorboard, and a rear structural area with a saddle situated above the rear structural area; the front end of the floorboard merges into the front leg shield area which in turn merges smoothly into the lower end of the upwards and rearwards angled symmetrical upper front structure; the front leg shield area presents a front surface which curves upwards and forwards in side view and presents downwards and inwards curved side surfaces; the upper front structure presents a symmetrical smooth curved downwards and forwards inclined bullet-like front surface with a central elongated generally v-shaped area thereon and smooth rearwards curved side surfaces; the elongated generally v-shaped area presents a vertically lined lower portion separated from an upper portion by a chevron line; each rearwards curved side surface presents a generally trapezoidal recessed front light area situated adjacent the lined lower portion of the elongated v-shaped area; the upper front structure presents a concave rear surface in side view; a curved front fender extends forwards and downward from the lower edge of the upper front structure; the upper front structure merges into a symmetrical forwardly projecting handle bar section which presents a top cover section and a downwards and forwards pointing generally triangular headlight area which is curved from side to side and presents outwardly curved lower edges in front view; the handle bar section also presents a pair of wing-like handle cover areas with downwards and forwards sloped front surfaces which extend outwards from the top cover section; the saddle is symmetrical and presents a generally ovate shape in plan view; the rear structural area presents a forward section which projects forwards form the saddle and presents side surfaces which slope outwards away from the saddle to the floorboard; the rear structural area presents a flattened front surface area which presents a curved indented portion part way along the height thereof; the side surfaces of the rear structural area present inclined generally rectangular open areas therein with a bridging element extending across each open area; the upper rear of the rear structural area also presents an upwards and rearwards projecting airfoil-like element. The Applicant disclaims the wheels and tires, the front and rear shock absorbers, the side stand, and the performance parts and performance part accessories of the motor scooter.
