Abstract

The said industrial design consists of the shape, configuration and ornamentation of a four wheel vehicle the important features of which are the front cover, the side covers, and the grille guard;the front cover has a pair of front fender portions and a central cover portion; each fender portion has a curved outer surface from front to back and from side to side with a side flange-like portion extending along the outer edges of the fender portions; the front of each fender portion has a recessed area in plan view having angled sides and an inner edge having a straight portion which merges through a curved stepped portion into an outer acute angled corner area having a rounded end; the recessed area conforms to the shape of the headlight; each fender portion has a first ridge and a second ridge; the first ridge extends from adjacent a pointed front end of the fender portion to close to the rear end of the fender portion where it curves inwards toward the second ridge; the second ridge extends along each fender portion from adjacent the inner angled side of the recessed area to adjacent the rear edge of the fender portion; the rear surface of each fender portion has a generally rectangular slightly recessed flat area therein which is situated between the first and second ridges; the fender portions merge into the sides of the central cover portion which curve upwardly and inwards away from the fender portions to a smooth curved upper surface area; the front end of the central cover portion has a recessed generally vertical and rectangular opening therein; the recessed area ahead of the rectangular opening has rearwardly slightly converging side surfaces situated on either side of a flat recessed area having an angled front edge with a rounded forward area; the smooth curved upper surface area merges smoothly into an upwards extending raised section which extends around of generally U-shaped recessed area in plan view in the rear of the central cover portion;the pair of generally arrowhead-like side covers extend rearwards from the rear of the front fender portions; each side cover a central raised area which extends upwards and rearwards and narrows along the length of the side cover and has outwardly tapered upper and lower sections on either side of the central raised area; the central raised area has a generally flat surface portion adjacent the front end thereof; each side cover is concave in plan view and has a first scalloped area in the end of the upper section adjacent the raised area; the side cover has a second slightly scalloped area in the lower section adjacent the central raised area;the generally symmetrical grille guard has two spaced-apart generally bow-shaped support members each having an inner wall, an outer wall, and a smooth curved front wall; upper, lower and intermediate lateral members extend between and merge smoothly into the inner walls of the bow-shaped support members; the outer walls of the bow-shaped support members have aligned horizontally extending from rear to front spaced-apart U-shaped raised areas, the upper raised area being larger than the lower raised area; each raised area has a sloped outer surface; a pair of generally cylindrical members having upper and lower cylindrical portions extend outwardly from each pair of raised areas on either side of the grille guard; the upper lateral member has a rounded forward edge and an upper surface which extends rearwards and slightly upwards; the intermediate lateral members are generally identical and are bowed slightly forwards and have a generally rectangular cross-section; the lower lateral member is situated adjacent the lower ends of the bow-shaped support members and has smooth generally flat upper surface and a front surface which curves outwards in plan view.Representations of the design are shown in the figures wherein:Fig. 1 is a perspective view from the left side of a four wheel vehicle;Fig. 2 is a perspective view from the left side thereof;Fig. 3 is a perspective view from the right side thereof;Fig. 4 is a perspective view from the right side thereof;Fig. 5 is a front elevation view thereof;Fig. 6 is a rear elevation view thereof;Fig. 7 is a left side elevation view thereof;Fig. 8 is a right side elevation view thereof;Fig. 9 is a top plan view thereof; andFig. 10 is a bottom plan view thereof.Diagrams of the design are included.
