Abstract
SENSOR DE PATóGENO PORTADO POR ALIMENTO E MéTODO. A prsente invenção refre-se a um sensor (10) para detectar bactérias em um produto alimentícios, que inclui um material permeável a gás (18) incluindo um indicador de pH portado por um alojamento (12) para colocação em uma relação espaçada com o prodto alimentício ou superfícies de embalagem, para detectar efetivamente uma mudança nos níveis de dióxido de carbono dentro da embalagem, Um indicador de pH á base de ácido compreende uma mistura de corantes azul de bromotimol e alaranjado de metila com um sensor que tem uma cor verde inicial que indica um pH alcalino de aproximadamente 7,2. O indicador torna-se alaranjado com um aumento do pH resultante da presença de dióxido de carbono devido ao cresimento bacteriano, tal indicador refletindo uma mudança de cor seguro cautela universalmente reconhecível.
