Abstract
Patente de Invenção de "PROCESSO INDUSTRIALMENTE REALISTA PARA O BENEFICIAMENTO DE MATERIAIS TITANìFEROS". Expõe-se um processo industrialmente realista para o beneficiamento de materiais titaníferos. O processo compreende as seguintes etapas: (i) um pré-tratamento que tem o efeito de tornar a sílica suscetível a lixiviação sob as conduções particulares de uma lixiviação subsequente, e (ii) uma lixiviação aquosa na presença de um ácido, cujas condições são selecionadas de maneira tal que a sílica que ingressa na solução não é hidrolisada ou precipitada como um silicato. A etapa de pré-tratamento (i) pode compreende lixiviação alcalina, ustulação ou fusão. A etapa de lixiviação (ii) poderá ser realizada sob baixas densidades de sólidos.
