Abstract
a presente divulgação se refere a células hospedeiras de levedura recombinante que possuem (i) uma primeira modificação genética para reduzir a produção de uma ou mais enzimas nativas que funcionam para produzir glicerol ou regular a síntese de glicerol e/ou permitir a produção de uma glucoamilase heteróloga, e (ii) uma segunda modificação genética para reduzir a produção de uma ou mais enzimas nativas que funcionam para produzir trealose ou regular a síntese de trealose e/ou permitir a expressão de uma trealase heteróloga. as células hospedeiras de levedura recombinante podem ser utilizadas para limitar a produção de trealose (produzida por levedura) (especialmente trealose extracelular) durante a fermentação e, em algumas modalidades, podem aumentar a produção de um produto de fermentação (tal como, por exemplo, etanol).
