resumo “método para particionar simulações de reservatório paralelas na presença de poços” é revelado um método para particionar uma grade representando um reservatório de hidrocarbonetos. a grade é composta de uma pluralidade de células. um gráfico de 5 conectividade de nodos e bordas é criado. cada uma da pluralidade de células é representada por um nodo. bordas conectam nodos vizinhos. uma borda que não deve ser cortada por um algoritmo de particionamento é designada. nodos conectados pela borda designada são mesclados em um supernodo. uma primeira borda conectando um nodo mesclado e um nodo não mesclado é substituída por uma segunda borda conectando o 10 nodo não mesclado ao supernodo. o gráfico de conectividade é usado com o supernodo e as bordas substituídas para particionar a grade. nodos mesclados em supernodos são mantidos em um único subdomínio durante o particionamento.
