Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE UMA TIRA DE LIGA DE MAGNéSIO, ATRAVéS DE FUNDIçãO COM CILINDROS DUPLOS, E TIRA DE LIGA DE MAGNéSIO". Um processo para a produção de uma tira de liga de magnésio, através de fundição com cilindros duplos, inclui as etapas de passagem da liga fundida de uma fonte de suprimento a um dispositivo de alimentação; alimentação da liga do dispositivo de alimentação através de uma saída alongada de um bocal e um par de cilindros substancialmente paralelos espaçados para definir um ângulo de entrada entre os mesmos; rotação dos referidos cilindros, pelo que a liga é puxada da camada através do ângulo de entrada; e fluxo de um fluido refrigerante através de cada um dos cilindros e, desse modo, resfriamento da liga recebida na câmara através de extração de energia térmica pelos cilindros, desse modo, solidificação substancialmente completa da liga é obtida na câmara antes que a liga passe através do ângulo de entrada como uma tira de liga laminada a quente. A liga é mantida na fonte em uma temperatura suficiente para manter a liga no dispositivo de alimentação em uma temperatura superaquecida; uma profundidade de liga fundida é mantida no dispositivo de alimentação em de cerca de 5 mm a cerca de 22 mm acima de uma linha central do ângulo de entrada em um plano contendo os eixos dos cilindros; e a extração de energia térmica pelos cilindros resfriados é mantida em um nível suficiente para manter a tira de liga que emerge do ângulo de entrada em uma temperatura de superfície abaixo de cerca de 400<198>C; pelo que a tira de liga laminada a quente é substancialmente isenta de fraturas e tem boa qualidade de superfície.
