"PROCESSO DE PURIFICAçãO EM ESCALA INDUSTRIAL DEáCIDO LáCTICO, áCIDO LáCTICO OU SOLUçãO DE áCIDOLáCTICO, USO DE áCIDO LáCTICO OU SOLUçãO DE áCIDOLáCTICO, USO DO ACIDO (S)-LáCTICO OU DA SOLUçãO DEáCIDO (S)-LáCTICO, PREPARAçãO FARMACêUTICA, E, USODE CRISTALIZAçãO POR RESFRIAMENTO, CRISTALIZAçãOPOR EVAPORAçãO OU CRISTALIZAçãO ADIABáTICA". Apresente invenção refere-se a um processo de purificação deácido láctico em escala industrial, o processo compreendendo osestágios de: (a) desfilação sob pressão reduzida de uma soluçãode ácido láctico concentrada tendo um conteúdo de ácido totalde, pelo menos, 95%, em peso, e um conteúdo de ácido lácticomonomérico de, pelo menos, 80%, em peso, com base na soluçãode ácido láctico concentrada, a razão entre os enanciómeros deácido láctico na solução de ácido láctico concentrada não sendoigual a 1, e (b) submeter a solução de ácido láctico concentrada àcristalização para formar um ácido láctico puro. A invençãotambém se refere ao ácido láctico, ou solução de ácido láctico,obtido por meio deste processo e uso do mesmo.
