Description

     @

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

   En se référant à la figure 2, on voit que la paroi avant 12 peut s'abaisser autour d'un axe inférieur 13, Selon l'invention, cette paroi est maintenue relevée par un couple      de tiges horizontales 14 s'insérant dans des orifices 15 sous l'effet de ressorts (non visibles), Ces orifices sont percés dans des plaquettes 16, s'évasant vers l'avant, et dépassant le plan d'ensemble de la paroi   12,   le fil 10 for- mant le cadre de chaque paroi latérale étant galbé en 17 à   cet ;

     effet, tandis que le cadre de la paroi 12 est galbé dans un sens correspondant en 18, pour laisser le passage aux tiges 14, Cette construction a pour avantage à la fois de dégager les éléments de fermeture et d'assurer un guidage indéforma- ble de la paroi 12 quand on la repousse en place sans pré- caution, et notamment en la poussant sur l'un de ses côtés.

  Trolley intended for self-service stores and supermarkets, allowing the registration of items purchased with the minimum of handling *
The invention relates to improvements made to the constitution and construction of basket trolleys in use in particular in stores and shopping centers, where users themselves choose the products they want to buy, and transport them. up to a point where a cashier establishes the total amount of their purchases @ and where they transfer these latter donations from personal containers or vehicles to their home.

     @

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

These trolleys must meet the requirements that have emerged with the development of these stores, namely - be large, to allow large purchases, - be sturdy and undeformable, - be light and easy to handle, - be of rapid construction and allow model modifications by simple disassembly.

   The present invention relates to an arrangement for those of these trolleys in the case where their front wall is mounted to tilt around a lower horizontal axis to allow rapid evacuation of the articles contained in the basket, by sliding forward. According to the invention, the guiding and locking of this wall in the closed position are provided by horizontal rods which are housed in holes drilled in reinforcing plates welded onto extensions of the upper part of the basket, the frame of the wall. before being itself curved so as to adapt to these extensions.

   The invention will be described as well as the role and importance of this characteristic with reference to the following description, corresponding to the appended drawing in which:
Figure 1 is an overall side view of the carriage, and
FIG. 2 is a partial view showing the detail of the front partition. @

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

In this drawing, we denote by 1 the basket and by 2 the base, rolling on rubberized wheels 3.

   As is known, the side walls are each formed of a thick wire frame, 9, and thinner wire packings, 10.

   Referring to Figure 2, it can be seen that the front wall 12 can be lowered around a lower axis 13, According to the invention, this wall is kept raised by a pair of horizontal rods 14 inserting into orifices 15 under the effect of springs (not visible), These orifices are drilled in plates 16, flaring towards the front, and exceeding the overall plane of the wall 12, the wire 10 forming the frame of each side wall being curved at 17 at this;

     Indeed, while the frame of the wall 12 is curved in a corresponding direction at 18, to allow passage for the rods 14, This construction has the advantage of both clearing the closing elements and ensuring undeformable guidance of the wall 12 when it is pushed back into place without precaution, and in particular by pushing it on one of its sides.

  This is important, because in previous models, the absence of this guide, after some time of use of the carriage, had the effect that the locking was falsified, and that the wall could not be closed by simply pushing it back. in place, as one side was coming inward and the other outward from the front split.
