 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  Package envelope
The object of the invention is an envelope for packages which may for example have the shape of cones or of an envelope intended for a specific object and which have, for the consumer) the advantage of the paper package, while also immediately recognizing the nature of the packaged goods; This packaging envelope is characterized in that it has been made by means of a tube formed by the union of the two edges of a strip of material (eg paper, cloth, cardboard, etc. etc.) by means of a transparent strip which will preferably be a sheet of cellulosic composition.

   The drawing shows, by way of example, the manufacturing process and the final appearance of packages made with an envelope according to the present invention.

   Fig. 1 shows the tube as it is made, manually or mechanically, by means of a strip of paper 1 whose edges 2 have been directed against each other and joined, by gluing, by means of a strip 3 of transparent material. The edge of this strip is inside the tube.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

  In a suitable length of tube has been introduced the parallelepiped box 4 (Fig. 2) which is divided, on one of its dimensions, by partitions, into a number of compartments intended to receive confectionery articles 5. The box is made of very ordinary material. Only the middle compartment is decorated with coulsur papers which were used to garnish the confectionery. After its introduction into the tube which is of the desired size, the ends of the tube protruding from the box are folded over the latter so that the whole has the appearance shown in fig. 3. Inexpensive container material does not show up at all.

   The strip of material, here paper, can be embellished to receive an impression giving the whole once finished a pleasant appearance. The condition and nature of the merchandise can be seen through the window formed by the transparent strip.

   Fig. 4 shows a cone which can be filled with bulk goods and which is also made by means of a tube according to FIG. 1 by folding one of the ends to a length corresponding to the desired size. After having filled the cone with goods, the nature of which can also be observed through the window, the upper part of the cone is folded over and fixed on itself, for example, by means of a metal clamp or the like. In the particular case, the paper part of the package can also receive a prior printing, so that the package shown in itself combines all the advantages of a paper envelope and those of a transparent material envelope.

  The transparent material strip can also be sewn with threads to the edges of the paper strip.
To complete the watertightness of the horn, the outer side of the seal between the transparent strip and the edges of the paper strip could be bridged by additional strips of paper.

    @ CLAIMS 1. Envelope for packages characterized in that it has been 'made by means of a tube formed by the joining of the two edges of a strip of material by means of a transparent strip.

   2. Envelope according to claim 1, charac- terized in that the transparent strip is fixed to the edges of the strip of material by gluing.
