<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

"Packing bundle, especially for edible products".
The invention relates to packaging bundles in which the contents of the box are surrounded, in a manner known per se, by two sheaths made of different material, in particular an outer cardboard box and an inner pocket or inner lining. eure formed by a quality foil, for example impermeable to air, water and humidity. The packaging is intended primarily for edible products, for example those which are kept cold.
In an already known embodiment of packaging of this kind, the side walls of the outer box are formed by folding up the bottom part and holding them.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
held together by the corners by triangles that are folded without slits; sheet placed on the flat cardboard blank, which is folded at the same time as the latter forms the inner pocket or garnish. In known packages of this kind, the fact that the inner pocket is not as strong at the places of the closure as at the other places constitutes a drawback. In the known embodiments, when the packaging is closed, the outer cardboard blank is creased at the same time as the inner lining.
The point of closure is therefore only very approximately ethanol in air and water. We must therefore ensure, during transport, that the closure remains at the top if we want to prevent part of the liquid content of the box from escaping. If stored for a relatively long period of time, the permeability of the closure also causes problems.
One of the main objectives of the invention is to avoid the aforementioned drawbacks. Next, the object of the invention is to create a pleated box as simple as possible which can also be shipped in the finished state without difficulty.
To solve these problems, the box is formed as follows, in accordance with the invention, with respect to its closure. The dimensions of the cutout of the sheet intended for making the inner pocket are such that a closure can be achieved under the action of heat and pressure through the part which protrudes from the edge of the box, on the filling opening, on the stitching points. This method of closure is only applied to the inside pocket (lining). To this end, the inner cutout or, at least its outer edge, is made of a thermoplastic material or is covered with a thermoplastic material.
The closing of the oarton box, as such, is carried out in another way after the closing of the inner pocket, of
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
known per se, for example by a rimmed lid.
In a large number of application cases, it is not appropriate to carry out the assembly of the pleated boot at the place of its use, where, often, suitable manpower is not available. We must therefore take into account to consider predominantly agricultural regions as places of use.
The assembly of the pleated boot is preferably done in oes cases on the places where the cutouts are made. But care must be taken not to exaggerate the size for transport.
This is why the packaging in question must be designed so that the edges of the side walls joined with the bottom are shorter than the edges which form the filling opening, which allows to fit tightly. boots for transport.
To illustrate the invention, the drawing represents two exemplary embodiments which show other details and advantages thereof.
FIG. 1 illustrates a cutout, known per se, for the cardboard part of one of the exemplary embodiments.
Figure 2 shows a corner of the cardboard boot ready to be filled with the inner liner according to Figure 1.
Figure 3 is an overview of the box ready to be filled without its cardboard cover.
FIG. 4 illustrates a cutout of the cardboard part of the second exemplary embodiment.
Figure 5 is a view of the boot ready to be filled according to Figure 4.
When, on the oarton blank a of the first exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, a sheet impermeable to air, water and humidity is placed and which is folded and straightened. two parts in common in a single operating pass, following the clamping lines Indicated in figure 2, we
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
obtains a formation of wedges of the type shown in Figure 2. This method of assembly directly allows the filling of the box with liquid or wet material, because the inner pocket is free up to its edge of slits and separating joints , is therefore impermeable to liquid. The upper edge of the inner pocket does not reach exactly the same height on the longitudinal walls and the transverse walls in order to show more easily the respective position of the parts.
If, in accordance with the invention, the cutout for the inner pocket or at least its outer edge is made from a thermoplastic material or is covered with a thermoplastic layer, the possibility of closing the pocket is immediately available. - interior ohe, itself, after filling, over the filling opening under the action of heat and pressure on the stitching points. The seam line can be folded back into the closing plane and the box closed with a rimmed lid.
The unintentional opening of the box mounted under the action of the pressure of its contents is opportunely prevented by gluing, during assembly, the parts of the corners to each other on the outer side. If a thermoplastic material is used for making the inside pocket, the simplest process for carrying out this bonding consists in subjecting the folds of the corners to the action of pressure and heat, which causes the sticking of itself.
In the second exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the cutout illustrated by FIG. 4 is formed by the bottom a, the longitudinal walls b and the transverse walls c. Since the bottom edges b and c of the wall sections b and c are somewhat shorter than the edges b "and o", the box, when completed, exhibits a tapered downward shape.
The boxes according to figure 5 can therefore, in the state of ref-
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
pleating, be nested one inside the other for transport. In accordance with the invention, the edges d of the inner pocket e protrude from the edge of the box when the carton is mounted in order of filling sufficiently so that the inner pocket can be closed separately after filling by thermoplastic gluing. The internal cutout must therefore have the qualities already mentioned, and therefore be made of thermoplastic material entirely or at least on the outer edge or be covered with thermoplastic material.
After closing the inner pocket, the tabs f are folded over the pocket and the cover g which is assembled with the cut-out is folded down, it can be held in this position by gluing its outer tab h on the cardboard wall. The example therefore shows that the envisaged objectives have been perfectly achieved thanks to the particular conformation of the parts of the packaging.
Boots in a filled condition can not only fit together very tightly for transport, but can be separated with equal ease by the various parts of the packaging or remain a corollary of the body of the boot such as the cover, or well, as the inner pocket are assembled with it by a pleating so that the separation of the parts is not possible outright.
