Vorrichtung zum Abschneiden des Randes von Hohlglasgegenständen.
Bei der Herstellung von Hohlglasgegenständen, z. B. Trinkgläsern, bedient man sich, um den Rand des Gegenstandes eben und gleichförmig zu machen, gewöhnlich einer Schere, mittels welcher dieser Rand abgeschnitten wird. Dieses Verfahren fordert jedoch eine sehr grosse Arbeitsgeschicklichkeit, da der Rand beim Abschneiden sehr leicht schräg und ungleichförmig werden kann.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung, welche das ebene und bequeme Abschneiden solcher Ränder ermöglicht, ohne dass hiebei eine besondere Übung bei der Bedienung der Vorrichtung erforderlich ist.
Auf der Zeichnung ist eine solche Vorrichtung in einer beispielsweisen Ausführungform dargestellt, und zwar zeigt Fig. 1 einen teilweisen Längsschnitt und Fig. 2 eine Uberansicht der Vorrichtung, teilweise im Schnitt, bei abgenommenem äusseren Ende der Welle.

Dieser Feder gegenüber ist an dem schwenkbaren Teile des Rades a eine Feder o angeordnet, welche bei dem Einschieben des Hohlglasgegenstandes zurückgepresst wird und zusammen mit der Feder n den Gegenstand während des Randabschneidens festhält, beim Schwenken des beweglichen Teiles des Randes a aber das fertiggeschnittene llohlglas von der Messerscheibe m ab- druckt, so dass dieses leicht aus der Vorrichtung genommen werden kann.
Der schwenk are Teil des Randos a wird zweckmässig durch eine auf das Ende des Hebels k wirkende Feder p niedergedrückt gehalten, so dass der zu schneidende Gegenstand bequem innerhalb des Randes a eingeführt werden kann, wobei sich die Feder it gegen die Innenseite des Glases anlegt. Das Mass dos Einführens des Glasgegenstandes in den Rand a ist von der Grösse des abzuschneidenden Stückes abhängig.
Ist das Glas eingeführt, so wird das äussere Ende des Hebels k niedergepresst, wobei der drehbare Teil des Randes a gehoben und der Glasgegenstand fest von diesem umschlossen wrd. Durch Drehung der lurbel f wird die Wolle c mit der Schneidrolle h gedreht und der Giasgegenstand von innen eben und gleichförmig abgeschnitten, wobei die Messerscheibe m als Widerlager dient. Nach beendigtem Abschneiden lässt man den Hebel los, wodurch sich der bewegliche Teil des Randes a öffnet und der Glasgegenstand aus der Vorrichtung genommen werden kann. Die Feder o bewirkt hiebei das Loslösen des Gegenstandes von der Messerscheibe m.
Statt des Zahnradgetriebes d, e kann natürlich eine andere Triebanordnung benützt werden.

However, this method requires a great deal of skill, since the edge can very easily become inclined and uneven when it is cut.
The present invention relates to a device which enables such edges to be cut off evenly and conveniently without the need for special training in operating the device.

When the cutting is complete, the lever is released, as a result of which the movable part of the edge a opens and the glass object can be removed from the device.
