EMI1.1
The invention relates to transition couplings for railway vehicles and aims to enable a simple and inexpensive transition from the system of the non-automatic screw coupling to the automatic central buffer coupling. The invention consists in that the ordinary
Tow hook of a non-automatic screw coupling is connected to the coupling joint of an automatic central buffer coupling by an auxiliary pull rod and is guided through a sleeve rigidly connected to the vehicle chassis.
In the case of transition couplings, a transition coupling or the head of the final central buffer coupling itself has hitherto been attached to the draw hook of the non-automatic screw coupling. This arrangement has the disadvantage that the transition to the automatic central buffer coupling requires a lot of time, since it is carried out in two stages, u. between the transition to the transition coupling suspended in the towing hook, which only transmits tensile forces, must first be made, whereupon the transition is made to the central buffer coupling, which can also absorb the impact forces. In the subject matter of the invention, the first transition stage is saved, because in the transition to the automatic central buffer coupling it is only necessary to loosen the draw hook from the joint and connect the central buffer coupling to this joint.
It should be noted that a transition coupling is already known in which a draw hook is replaced by the central buffer coupling. With this type of construction, however, the usual draw hook, which is connected to the coupling joint of the automatic central buffer coupling by an auxiliary drawbar in the subject of the application, can only be used, but only a draw hook that has to be specially made.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, u. 1 shows a vertical longitudinal section, FIG. 2 shows a horizontal longitudinal section along the line 2-2 in FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows an illustration corresponding to FIG. 1 after the transition to the automatic central buffer coupling.
To prepare for the transition from the non-automatic screw coupling to the automatic central buffer coupling, cutouts al are initially provided in the head girders A of the vehicles, which are dimensioned according to the deflection of the central buffer coupling. In front of the cutouts, a plate B is attached, which carries the draw hook guide C in its previous position. The draw hook D and the shell sleeves E of the pulling and pushing device also remain in the normal position. The coupling joint G is installed on the longitudinal members F of the vehicle in such a way that it can absorb the tensile and impact forces of the central buffer coupling.
If necessary, a resilient pulling and pushing device can also be switched on between the coupling joint G and the longitudinal members F. The coupling joint G is first connected to the shell sleeves by an auxiliary pull rod H.
On the transition day, the tow hooks D, the tow hook guides C, the metal sheets B and the shell sleeves E and the auxiliary tie rods H are removed from all vehicles and replaced by the central buffer coupling as shown in FIG. 3. This ensures that the existing pulling device parts D, C and E can be kept unchanged during the transition period, whereby the
