Abstract

Purificar y/o recuperar del etanol a partir de un producto de etanol en bruto obtenido a partir de la hidrogenación del ácido acético. Los procesos de separación y purificación de la mezcla de etanol en bruto se emplean para permitir la recuperación del etanol y para eliminar las impurezas. Además, el proceso implica la esterificación del ácido acético en una columna que se utiliza para recuperar el etanol.Reivindicación 2: El proceso de la reivindicación 1, en donde se utiliza un catalizador en la columna de destilación reactiva. Reivindicación 14: Un procedimiento para producir etanol que comprende: hidrogenación de ácido acético a partir de una corriente de alimentación de ácido acético en un reactor para producir una corriente de producto bruto que contiene etanol y ácido acético; hacer reaccionar el ácido acético y el etanol en una primera columna; retirar una primer corriente superior que contiene aldehído y acetato de etilo, y una primera corriente del fondo que contiene acetato de etilo, etanol y agua; separar la primer corriente del fondo en una segunda columna para producir una segunda corriente superior que contiene etanol y acetato de etilo y una segunda corriente de fondo que contiene agua, y separar la segunda corriente superior en una tercera columna para producir una tercera corriente superior que contiene acetato de etilo y una tercera corriente de fondo que contiene etanol.
