Abstract
Un método para la producción de ácido acético por carbonilación. El método puede incluir un sistema de transferencia de calor para generar un producto de vapor proveniente del calor de la reacción. Además, el método puede incluir múltiples columnas de secado. El producto de vapor se puede integrar con al menos una de las múltiples columnas de secado.Reivindicación 1: Un método de carbonilación de producción de ácido acético que comprende las etapas de: hacer reaccionar monóxido de carbono con al menos un reactivo en un reactor que contiene un medio de reacción para producir un producto de reacción que comprende ácido acético, en donde el al menos un reactivo está seleccionado del grupo que consiste en metanol, acetato de metilo, formiato de metilo, éter dimetílico y mezclas de ellos y en donde el medio de reacción comprende agua, un promotor de halógeno y un catalizador; separar el producto de reacción en una caldera rápida para producir una corriente de producto cruda y una corriente líquida de reciclado; purificar la corriente de producto crudo en una columna de extremos livianos para producir una corriente de producto purificada; secar una primera porción de la corriente de producto purificada en una primera columna de secado; y secar una segunda porción de la corriente de producto purificada en una segunda columna de secado.
