Abstract
Se provee una columna de transferencia de masa (20) con una camisa externa que define una región interna abierta. Bandejas de contacto centrífugas (26) y bandejas de contacto de retorno (28) se disponen alternativa y verticalmente separadas en el interior de la región interna abierta. Cada bandeja de contacto posee una pluralidad de conductos de vapor (33) para permitir que el vapor fluya en dirección ascendente por la plataforma para interactuar con el líquido en la superficie de la misma. Al menos un tubo descendente central (40) se extiende en dirección descendente sobre un orificio en la plataforma de bandeja de retorno y posee una salida de descarga inferior separada por sobre la plataforma de bandeja centrífuga en orden a alimentar líquido sobre la plataforma de bandeja centrífuga. Un elemento de inducción de la rotación puede ser colocado en el interior del tubo descendente central (40) al efecto de inducir un movimiento rotatorio en el líquido que sale del tubo descendente central (40). Al menos un tubo descendente anular (36) se extiende en dirección descendente por la periferia de la plataforma de bandeja centrífuga y posee una salida de descarga inferior separada de la plataforma de bandeja de retorno para alimentar líquido a la plataforma de bandeja de retorne. Al menos una de las bandejas de contacto centrífugas se dispone a una mayor distancia por sobre una bandeja de contacto de retorno adyacente que el menos una de las bandejas de contacto de retorno respecto de una bandeja de contacto centrífuga adyacente. La columna de transferencia de masa (20) puede además incluir un anillo de soporte simple (64), uno o más tabiques (68) o combinaciones de los mismos
